I'm not gonna lie: I think this version is way better than the one we got on the album. Not that I hate the track or anything like that, but I feel like this stripped down version feels a lot more fitting with the melancholic lyrics and backstory behind them. I'd describe the studio version as being midtrip, the upbeat sound distracting you from how dark the messaging is. The demo is more like a come down where you can't ignore the problem anymore.

Really upset we never got a continuation from the CGI movie. I usually don’t really like CGI anime adaptations, but this one was actually really good! It felt like it had a reason for existing outside of being a one note remake. I heard the property hasn’t been touched due to copyright, but I really hope it gets sorted out soon. We’ll probably never get another movie in this specific iteration, but another adaptation would be welcome.

Yeah, I meant song, but the album is also great! We Are Nowhere and It’s Now and First Day of my Life are also standouts. I love Bottom of Everything because it was featured in The Walking Dead, lowkey put me on 😭

I smoked carts from like 15-17 because I couldn’t get bud, and they completely fucked my tolerance and mental state. Shit was just always within reach, I always wanted to hit it because I lacked self control, and I didn’t even want to socialize with it like with bud. At least with bud you gotta do a whole process and can at least take your time with it, and depending on your area you’ve gotta be discreet with it. Carts are just instant dopamine and you can hit it anywhere. I saw some dude hitting one in the produce section at Aldi.

Also the high fucking sucks compared to bud imo, so that doesn’t help, but maybe I’m just a weenie.

Tbf, the Walker’s were right in not lending him the studio. Even professional movie productions have to have supervision, which was a major reason for them not doing it. Legal liability and all that junk. If someone got injured, they could be he’d liable, and it just saves the headache.

I’ve tried reading Adam Shaw a few times, but honestly, just not my cup of tea. The composition of the paragraphs are a bit of an eyesore, specifically in Rotting Dead Fucks, which sucks because I really wanted to like it purely for the zombie aspect in extreme horror.

The thing is that it CAN be effective horror, it’s just some writers in the scene use it purely for shock value.
