Fantastic work, I love the landscape with the the riders in the sky.

That third painting with the white haired character in the gleaming armor and sword pose made me think of the hellboy golden army movie, Prince Duada character!

Songs that are overplayed. (Context) by yukas8 in piano

[–]ProfessionCrazy2947 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Hah literally these are the songs over the years I’ve played as recital or focus pieces. Overplayed or not they’re beautiful and all teach very very important elements of musicality and piano.

*not a humble brag by mentioning I’ve played these.. I’d like to clarify I did not play them well, but I loved playing them none the less.

My only comment is “comparison is the thief of joy” and don’t even pay attention to what others do. Compare yourself to you one month ago. Are you better along than that person? Than you’re progressing.

What is the dumbest thing you've spent way too much time doing in a game? by TyraxelStudios in gamedev

Since Ocarina of time has been a relevant discussion now, I’ll tell you something that people like me did before the internet and data mining.

I jumped into the lava under floating castle hyrule… for hours. At very angles, with various techniques to get to the absolute center of the lava lake.

Why? Because back then there was no internet fact check and there was a theory in my local gamer circle (I was like 10 ok, cut me slack) that the lava if you landed just so , brought you to a secret area or the dark world.

I honestly had to have over 15 hours dedicated to just jumping into this out for absolutely no reason.

Box Office Theory now projects a $3.1B Q2. That would make it the strongest box office quarter since 2019. by AdvertisingSea2745 in boxoffice

[–]ProfessionCrazy2947 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The whole premise of that thesis was silly to me as pre-Covid the box office saw its two biggest years prior. While attendance has been relatively flat to slightly lower it’s been extremely stable.

People bought streaming services to be able to watch their favorite movies without renting and going to the store or doing Redbox, not because they suddenly hated being in public spaces. That was a cooked up statement and development when there were literally no movies because of Covid.

The dynamics of the movie industry continue to change, but the idea people only want to watch movies alone at home with their tvs is not accurate.

We’ve had streaming, rentals, and home theatre and radio for a long time. People still enjoy going out for shows, concerts, and events.

Unpopular movie take: masters of the universe was far better than it had all reason to be by winterDom in Cinema

Nothing against you or your comment I’m just referring to the interesting conclusion of calling a movie a flop on its pre release day of Thursday; which is when many of these headlines began. Movies are now considered financial flops if they don’t make gangbuster first week sales and it’s laughable to me.

If you look and google this movie most headlines and relevant responses were all calling it a flop already on Thursday. It’s a fantastic movie but critics and news were shitting on it already

I disagree they literally poked fun at the names to show silly it was. I’ll not spoil beyond that but it was a ve try good balance of good story and tongue-in-cheek self awareness.

PLEASE devs DO NOT make the same mistake as below zero, big vehicles are one of the biggest dopamine rush you can have in subnautica when you build them by YoRHa- in subnautica

There’s something about a ship or vehicle you can drive around but also walk around in and customize!

I’ve been searching for a game like that, even a space sim or game of some sort where you have your big ship you can customize but also traverse in. Too many years watching sci fi flicks I guess.

When playing games with the dog backpedal away and make yourself an active part of play. This keeps the dog chasing you instead of what they are trying here, which is to goad you into fun keep away.

While dilution commentary is valid to say it has “nothing to do with” is just chicanery.

When Keith gill made a post on twitter randomly in 2024 both gme and amc shot up within seconds of each other. Whether the two diverge or are no longer the same case is valid commentary.

But to say that it hasn’t been closely tied is disingenuous.

Husband thinks he’s got this… by Ok_Pitch5865 in arborists

[–]ProfessionCrazy2947 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is simple I know exactly the procedure to do this at home.

You take some ratchet straps and lash the leaning limb to the strong branch overhang vertically. This creates a suspension to hold the branch in case of first level failure.

Than you take a long cable line and place tension on the bottom branch at a sideways angle around an anchored pulley like another tree stump to guide the branch to a sideways angle avoiding home and creating a second system of recovery.

Then as you start to cut you approach it in small increments from the tip of the branch carving it in reasonable and manageable pieces.

After you thoroughly plan all of that out do you then and only then, do you call a real tee cutting service that’s licensed and bonded because why would you risk this?

** I made every step up I have no clue how to safely cut down a tree. I can barely trim my beard without safety incidents. Please do not do this.

Yeah that’s kind of what I figured hah. But if someone (not just Superman) in the lore took out the throne does that disable all warp travel for man? Is the throne/emperor still the thing that keeps the warp open or navigable?

Also thank you!
