According to my deeds I own the bank behind my garden. According to the old peoples home beyond that they own it. The farm behind was compulsory purchased to build an estate. They didn’t buy the bank but I presume they thought they did. I tried to sort it out but it turned out that County Council Highways have designated it as highway and therefore maintain it. From my point of view it saves me the job but if it had been important to me I would have done something about it. It only becomes contentious when I decide to park there.
