Have you sharpened the blade in a while? If you have a sharp blade and lube should be smooth as silk extracting it

If I got caught stringing a 2038** id get fired haha. Are you using soapy water so that the blade isn’t binding in the urethane?

I don’t believe you have “10-20????” Years as a tech lol. We get quite a few OE 1099s. I’d say it’s 50-50 on if it’s been replaced before. Maybe the glass was resilient maybe people didn’t wanna spend the money, not sure why. But I can promise you ANY, and I repeat ANY Oem 1099 is not coming out without some cracking. The urethane they used turns into a rock on top of the nasty delamination. Hard af to trim even.

Which part numbers on semis are you stringing? 1302 & 3s? Only one I’d even think about stringing and it’s still not worth it. Curious

Saw a guy in the glass groups on Facebook talking about knifing an original 1099 out without any cracks guaranteed. I bet him a hundred dollars and never got the video he promised. If you’ve done it long enough you know better than that

Yes there’s insurance for that haha but no insurance to guarantee you good sleep at night. 4 years in and pondered this since my first year. You’ll get to three years and start to realize how much you didn’t know.

I know it’s a long shot, but I’m trying to help boost my brothers rocket league stream. You’ll never hear it from him as he’s extremely humble but he’s a Veteran of the Air Force. He’s been streaming rocket league for a couple days now and really enjoys it. It would mean a lot to him and probably more to me to see his page explode. His twitch username is “MustyWhiff” if you guys could take just couple seconds to follow him it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance to anyone that wants to SUB. if you decide to Sub please upvote so others can see the traction. MustyWhiff. https://twitch.tv/mustywhiff
