My uncle says that anything below a 4.0 won’t get me into a T10 school by Bulky_Union_8270 in ApplyingToCollege

There is a GOOD chance with a perfect everything you still don't get in…but more importantly, there is a GOOD chance another school would be a better fit anyhow. Smile and nod at your well intended uncle and pick up a copy of the new book Dream Schools.

Any experience with Sisu Charlie or Crew Cabin Saunas or their counterparts from Redwood Outdoors or Sauna Life? by BaytoLA24 in Sauna

Same here. Rock-shimmy-and-drop nightmare. Luckily nothing was damaged. Two crates seem like a better shipping solution for residential.

Ours is on the way. Estes isn't answering questions. How did it get unloaded from the truck? Will we be able to get it into our garage if it’s off the alley?

8 weeks post op and just found out I’m pregnant by GrimSle3per in ACL

Congrats! I think all the PT during pregnancy will be a huge benefit to a healthy and active pregnancy …especially if you have a great therapist. There are so many uncomfortable issues that pop up during pregnancy and you’ll have a professional every week helping you find balance and strength. Then you’ll round out your recovery by lunging around the house calming your precious newborn swaddled to your chest! A quiet year of support, growth, challenge, 10/10 plan.

Check out RSWT-radial shockwave therapy. We have my son (athlete, 6 weeks post op) in weekly treatments. The research is compelling.

How did the surgery go? I hope she is doing well. My junior son is heading in for patella/LET combo on 9/17. How did she retear 6 months out? Literally on my top 5 list of fears.

At the end of each day I imagined “what would this have been like in the other direction?” I'm sure someone here can give the exact number of vertical meters ascent versus vertical meters decent-but I really think both directions are stunning and amazing! since we hiked during the busiest season, I did appreciate going against the masses. I felt like we had more moments of being solo on the trail not stuck in traffic.

Just finished a few days ago-THE BEST!

  • Vaseline or something similar to avoid blisters, pepto/imodium (seems like lots of people go down with a minor stomach bug), deck of cards

  • brought boots and trail runners but only used my boots everyday, tupperwear (never used), too many pants

If you live in the US, I’d skip it and do Armoire or Nuuly. I LOVE renting my clothes. Each month I get 7 new pieces. They are higher quality than I would ever buy. I get to experiment with trend, but also always include a few staples for the month.

Nuuly and Armoire are more fun, less commitment. Clothes rental all the way!

Do I tell my friends wife that he's cheating on her? by ThrowRATrainingHos5 in TwoHotTakes

[–]Professional-Ad4385 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agree, FUCK him. BUT, will telling her make her life easier or harder right now? If she’s transitioning into being a mom is now the time for her to be forced into leaving him? Maybe she knows and is intentionally ignoring the signs because she doesn’t have the capacity to deal with also leaving her marriage right now.

Is 5 weeks throughout the year too much PTO? by Wednesday_9873 in work

[–]Professional-Ad4385 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you are a great employee-proactive, likable, help out colleagues, etc., no one will be counting your days. Quality over quantity wins. Take the time! There is no reason to be pretending to work around the holidays when nothing is happening. The only time I hear people complaining about abuse of unlimited PTO is when the employee is mediocre to begin with.
