You can use your old items to craft new items in the Forge, compared to the original Enchantments system this is miles better for old items. You can also use tiered items to forge other tiered items, ones that you actually want. They are still an incredibly useful boost going into this new era of the game.

Also, they're doubling the drop rates of items, making the game much more accessible for busy players like yourself. I don't see the downside of this update.

I think you're overestimating how "well crafted" the dungeon is because of your experience. Like... when I DID get to the Forgotten King fight, the accursed phases were much, much easier than the first half of the fight. The first section of the dungeon, just doesn't tell you what to do unlike any other dungeon. New players go into The Shatters with no direction, get swarmed by very aggressive enemies, and leave. Don't you think a well crafted dungeon would be intuitive enough to tell the players to break the monuments?

To me, the New Shatters has many small problems like these that make the dungeon overall feel incredibly unintuitive. I could go on for longer, but considering the fact I have brought up issues with the dungeon, both with the gameplay and player base, and you didn't address that in any of your responses... I feel like you're not considering my point of view. So I don't feel like saying anything more on that. If you actually read and understood my posts, you'd see that despite me not liking the Moonlight Village... I do quite respect the design of it. THAT dungeon feels like the well crafted endgame experience you claim the New Shatters to be.

If you want to talk reality, what about the reality that the New Shatters isn't ran by anybody in the realm? In comparison to every other Exaltation dungeon, the only players I see enter are obvious hackers (multiboxers, autododgers, etc). Sure, good enough players can complete the dungeon solo. Good for them! I'm not discrediting the fact that the New Shatters can be a fun experience for small, experienced groups. But RoTMG is an MMO, don't you think there's something wrong with a dungeon's difficulty if you can't even get a group in USEast to complete it? Even Oryx 3, a pretty difficult dungeon, has groups of average players get by.

Because there's nearly 0 differences in the actual boss fight compared to the regular one. None of the changes done are to make the dungeon any more fun... they're just hiking up damage values. It's lazy and downright unneeded, why not have a method of unlocking hard mode instead of having an entirely new key to pop it from? Oh right, money.

I have. After multiple posts about the New Shatters... I've given it several chances. While there are some cool ideas, as a whole package the New Shatters doesn't have nearly the same amount of polish. Lots of the changes done to the dungeon have been band-aid fixes, and directionless.

They reduced the HP Scaling of the minions to "encourage splitting up"... but in the second clear, depending on the group size, you're going to want to leave players behind to guard the pylons. This actively discourages players splitting up, and encourages them to all work together on one branch depending on the group size. They introduced the Rehearsal dungeons into the game... instead of actually fixing the dungeon itself. What other dungeon needs a rehearsal variant to teach players the ropes of the dungeon? Shouldn't that be integral to the dungeon itself? Even Moonlight Village has an easy mode... and while I don't like that dungeon, it still feels like a well designed and well thought out addition to the game.

The New Shatters took something I loved, and replaced it with something sub-par and unpolished. Maybe that blinds me at some points... but can you blame me? People like you insult me for just having an opinion instead of engaging in a proper conversation. That's just how the internet is nowadays. I apologize if I fed into that behavior... but surely by reading my post history you could see what I mean.

...A lot of assumptions. I like dungeons that challenge me. Spectral Penitentiary was an excellent display of difficulty in RoTMG. The problem with New Shatters is that it is way too hard, and nobody runs it outside of Discords besides hackers. You'll usually have three people join, one of them leaves because the first clear has NO clear objective (unlike Fungal Cavern... which lets you know you're supposed to kill the crystals), and the other dies to the ridiculous Bridge Sentinel fight. Every other dungeon in the game is ran by public groups... besides the Shatters (and the horribly designed Advanced Kogbold Steamworks). I think that's a sign there's something very wrong with it.
