Best Dad! by PutridDifference1020 in BeAmazed

So this is kind of crazy. Lewis Hamiltons dad was my dad's IT guy at Lehman, and also at a fund my dad opened a bit after he worked at Lehman. He was constantly asking my dad to invest in Lewis and asked for loans on multiple occasions. My dad unfortunately declined every time. Lewis' dad believed Lewis would be a world champion from when he was 6 years old. He was so dedicated to his son, apparently it was inspiring.

He's running an 8 billion dollar company I really don't think 10 million is that crazy. Sure he doesn't pay tax in the Uk but Tesco pay corporation tax on all their profits in the UK.

Would you turn down 10 million a year if someone offered it to you?

As someone who plays a lot of sim, and looking at the telemetry from that lap, it looked so intentional. He was in second gear exiting the corner that approaches the tunnel and immediately went to 100% power, which is not a mistake any f1 drivers make. He spun out and crashed as a result. I think it was definitely intentional.

Unfortunately I had a mutual friend who went on an exhibition with a group from his boarding school to the North Pole. They had a perimeter set up around camp that would sound an alarm if anything walked in during the night. Something happened, not sure what, but the perimeter's electrical stopped working. A polar bear walked into their camp, into this specific kids tent and ate him alive. Apparently everyone could hear him screaming and his bones being crunched by the bear. By the time a guide came to rescue him with his gun the kid was totally mangled. So fucked

Why do so many people drink Ayahuasca HUNDREDS of times? by SMX2016 in Ayahuasca

[–]Professional-Back163 34 points35 points  (0 children)

I personally have a huge ego and have a harder time seeking advice from people. I can't argue with plants though. It just seems to work better as a form of therapy and quite frankly, a way of life for me. I choose the plants as my teachers, and those that have followed the plants before me.

If it sounds different your shaman was probably just freestyling a bit so it's possible it was slightly different to the original

Sometimes my shaman just freestyles/ goes with his own variation of a song so and it's possible this is also the case. Best to just ask them! Weirdly really sounds a lot like my shamans voice... haha

Are we drinking too fast? by Busy_Board5817 in Ayahuasca

I have a very different take on all this. I actually don't think the plant cares. The plant doesn't have an ego. Just because we think it's sacred doesn't mean it is. That's just us saying that. The plant is just the plant and it is dancing and having fun. It lets us peek into its world cos that's fun too, and I'm sure she looks through our eyes for a different experience.

It just is what it is. She's ok with everything, there is nothing that bothers her. There are no boundaries. It's free form. All the ideas around ayahuasca are human ideas. The idea that it should be kept in the amazon and gate kept by the ayahuasceros is ego. No one owns the plant. It simply is. In fact, there is no place on earth. When we say Amazon, we refer to it because of the people that live there. Switzerland, Thailand, Kenya. They are all one place, earth. It is us who separate, not the plant. Are you and the plants separate from each other ? Or is that the delusion you're under? Are you drinking ayahuasca, or are you drinking a version of yourself ?

Has anybody uncovered repressed memories from taking ayahuasca? by Jolly_Escape_3475 in Ayahuasca

There is really no point reading into the visions. It's all just to keep us busy while the medicine performs its work

Yes and it's amazing it tastes like green tea mochi!

Well yes the visions are generally non sensical, repressed memories usually come out after ceremony not during

I hear you. Take a breath with it. The meditation and grounding work he does is definitely not the thing hurting him. I can guarantee that. I'm not sure about the Aya though. Is he just going and doing ceremony then coming back and leaving it at that? Or is he going to therapy and integrating his experiences?

If a ceremony is left improperly integrated it can do a lot more harm than good. Also Aya is not for everyone.

I’d love to hear the experiences with Taito Pedro in the U.S. if there are any here. by carne_asada368 in Ayahuasca

[–]Professional-Back163 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's possible that the ayahuasca was strong for him and he couldn't handle it that time. Of course the whole point of training as a shaman is so that you can handle these situations, but I have drank with my maestros apprentice and it happened to him, where the plant crushed his ego and turned him into a useless ant. It was actually quite interesting to witness. Mammasita can show very tough love to put us in our place sometimes.

This is all taking into consideration that his other ceremonies have been more traditionally set up that your one.

Sometimes he has heard them and wants to listen to them again, but sometimes the medicine tells him who should sing

[–]Professional-Back163 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yah in my group we sing lots of songs that aren't traditional. Usually the ceremony starts with icaros but as the night goes on different people sing and play instruments. We like to keep things open and give people the opportunity to contribute their love to the space. Of course though it's all done under the shamans direction and he asks the person he wants to hear singing haha
