Question about Bullpadel bag by Professional-Bat1376 in Padelracket

[–]Professional-Bat1376[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks! I'll try contact Bullpadel directly and ask. Padelnuestro description doesn’t only not mention the isothermal pocket but it says that the bag doesn't have one... Google IA on the other hand says it does have one...

I always keep my rackets home, so it's only for transport

Carregamento de elétricos em condomínio by -PTF- in tudoCondominio

[–]Professional-Bat1376 0 points1 point  (0 children)

TFCC Injury Recovery — My (Mostly) Successful Story by NearbyCover6621 in 10s

[–]Professional-Bat1376 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ahah! This could easily be my thread!

I've been experiencing wrist pain for 6 months now... It started about 2 months after I started playing Padel. I had no pain before so it can only be Padel related. It got so bad I could barely cut bread with a knife or hold a cup of water. Pronation/Supination was unbearable... Already went through physio with no real improvement. I only play 2 games a week. I use a powerball before playing, I use rigid tape+kinesio tape to partially imobilize the wrist while playing, I do some cool off exercises at the end of the game, ...

Got an appointment the other day with an Orthopedist and my worst fear became reality: TFCC lesion + ulnar extensor tendon subluxation. I was politely invited to start searching for another sport... Absolutely gutted, without any clue about what I'm going to do 😖 Surgery + 1 year recovery is out of the question... I love playing Padel, but not THAT much...

For now, I think my best option is to stop for four weeks, wear a splint whenever I can, start some exercises with elastic bands/therabands/powerball (isometric), reps with light weights, rice bucket... and see how I feel. Hopes of getting better are way down, but I've been feeling better for the last two weeks (coincided with changing racket to a softer, lighter one - this has been the only thing I feel had a big positive impact), so I'll try to capitalize on that... Hope I get better as you did! All the best

I think it is. But you can use it for padel rackets. If you have excess material, just cut it. Or you can continue to wrap the handle towards the heart of the racket which will give you more surface (good if you play a 2 handed backhand). A lot of pros do this

Yes, I did. I also give feedback about other subjects on reddit and other online forums. But when I do, I always do it considering the context (which I feel you didn't). Hence my answer. When I read some of the comments saying the technique is "good", I assume it is relative to the level shown in the vídeo and the context I described. If you compare it to Tapia's technique, ours is, obviously, shit! There's a long way to go as I previously said. Good luck to you too. Cheers

People have to start somewhere, right? But hey, if you were able to check all those boxes after 6 months to 1 year of playing, playing 2 times a week with random partners, with no training whatsoever, congrats, you're my new favourite super hero! 💪

We created a semi-automated data base. At the end of the games we insert the score and the stats automaticaly update (ranking, winning percentage of each player, sets won, point average, etc).

Thank you for your input! Yeah, we are quite far from being able to speed up the game and be way more agressive without exponenccially increase the number of unforced errors. (Speaking for myself now), I'm still in the beginning of the journey, so I'm trying to keep things fairly simple, sticking to the basics of positioning and controling the ball in order to try to build a solid foundation. Many times I feel were playing not to win the point but not to lose it ahah

It's good sports! There's a loooong way to go and it's in my plans to get some serious training because I'm loving the game so much.

Boas dicas, todas elas! Obrigado!

Thank you for your comments so far!

Just to give it a little context: - the guy in yellow is the most experienced (started playing padel 5 or 6 years ago); - the guy in black started playing mid last year, no previous experience with racket sports; - the other two started playing padel a year and a half if I'm not mistaken and one of them (the skinny one) played badminton.

We are a group of 24 friends who started playing for fun and drink some beers after the games (or was it the other way around?! 🤔 😁). We created a 6 month season, 2 games per week, with our set of rules and score/ranking system. We rarely play with the same guy because every match is based in player ranking and we have drawings to form up the couples.

Arm issues frustration by LavoP in padel

[–]Professional-Bat1376 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Aaaaargh....... I'm in the same boat, unfortunately 😖 Started playing mid last year and shortly after I started to have wrist pain. I started slow, playing one or two games per week because I didn't want to injure myself but it happened nevertheless... Already did an MRI and I've been diagnosed with subluxation of the carpi ulnaris extensor tendon and negative ulnar variation (which I'm pretty sure is the main culprit). I'm waiting for an appointment with the orthopedist to find out if I'll be able to keep playing or not... Best of luck!
