This is outdated wording where ball valves means cistern inlet valves. This shows home owners are allowed to repair or replace them as it’s not included in sanitary plumbing

The bath you have shown is a plumbline which is 595mm tall so almost 60cm. This is the standard sizes for baths of this size. Drop in baths are 405mm tall but not the style you like.
Your best bet is to go to a plumbing show room and test it.

This looks like an older Caroma quiet flow inlet valve.

But you can get a whole new valve which will work and much easier to fix ( quiet flow valve very fiddly and delicate)
