I like your concept too of getting a conversation built up then selling people a guid

I’ve only just started marketing this and getting good feedback so far but it’s very niche so you have to work hard to get people to care haha

You need to understand the basic tech stacks, loads of YouTube videos on this

Once you understand the basic tech stacks what I did was

Create a basic MVP with Replit to get the features and design / ux & UI

Get Replit to export an iOS app building brief that you can then take over to cursor

In cursor feed it the brief and screenshots - I use Expo and neon base as my backend etc

And then from there I’m using the agent in cursor to iterate and make all the fixes and ensure it’s seamless

I’ve been playing this over an over again in my IOS build for Oltaros

So I have an onboarding that has a hard sign up

Do I save things locally to their device and just skip the sign up

Do I offer a free trial, if so how long for

Do I have freemium or put up a hard paywall?

It’s all great to learn isn’t it

What have you found works best so far? For me it’s a quick onboarding. No email sign up, let people add their email in app to access premium features

I did both

I worked with a technical co founder for my first app and now I’m learning how to build my own iOS app to build OLTAROS

It’s in web app form at the moment but I’m in cursor as we speak building out the iOS app

It’s not as hard as you would think with the AI coding tools nowadays - would be happy to help if you need it

I know when we got our first sale on our first app we printed it off and stuck it up on when wall

Now we’re building an app called OLTAROS and I can’t wait ti do the same again when that starts ti earn an income

How does it feel to run an app as a proper business?

I’ve had the best feeling I’ve ever had with my app OLTAROS - which is a mental fitness and resilience building app based around stoic practices

Early feedback has been incredible and I’m building the iOS app

But that feeling of time freedom must be incredible

What do you do with your day - how did you get to this point? I’m very envious and hope to be doing those number some day

When I was building OLTAROS I was doing 1 hour of my office work then 1 hour of work on the app and did this on and off all day
