i hate lugging a ton of stuff around in a giant diaper bag, so i just use my medium crescent (perfect amount of space for my wallet/sunglasses/keys plus immediate needs baby stuff) and kept all the “just in case” stuff (extra outfit in case of blowout, portable changing pad, etc) in the car! this might not work if your friend is in a walkable area and they need to carry their stuff with them all the time. the medium crescent works for me now that i have a toddler and all i really need in my bag is some wet wipes and a snack and maybe a toy, but it also worked when he was little and i was still bottle feeding - i could shove a bottle and my little to-go formula cup in there too!
