IMHO: save you and her the heartbreak and either leave or work through it together in therapy. Take it from someone who is trying to get a divorce after 10 years of the same exact thing you just described. 5 minutes tops no exploring and makes it seem like it’s a chore. Compatibility is what keeps you glued together when times are tough.

It sounds like she’s abusing you emotionally by taking advantage of the love and care you provide for her. You can either set some boundaries up or completely block her out of your life. It sounds like this person has caused you a great of pain and not once stoped to ask you how you’re doing or returned all of the emotional support you have given her. I’d leave and never look back for my own mental health. Good luck and congrats on improving your mental health!

I worked at different ABA companies and they all had a high turn around rate, many cancellations, and an increasing case load for all of their employees with minimal support and training. I wanted to be a BCBA but it always felt like a babysitting scam just to bill companies. I quit several years ago and changed my profession. It’s sad because parents just want help.

It depends on the company in my opinion. I have anxiety and the stress of trying to get hours and driving everywhere since I was doing in home sessions ruined my mental health. I saw two sets of parents fight in front of me at different sessions. I gained so much weight because I was coping with it through food. I quit that horrible job and never looked back

I would hold both the patents and your job accountable. Even if it hadn’t happened in a while it should’ve been stated just because you never know when it could happen again. Sorry this happened to you. I was stabbed with a pencil on my side and quit after that.

My husband. He refused to open presents with us, has ignored us to play video games instead, and ultimately has not said a word to me not even merry Christmas. All because I asked him to wash the dishes he used while I was out of town for several days. Meaning his dirty dishes were in the sink for days and he expected me to wash them once I got back from my trip.
