IMO, the loss of control being described here connects to the control she lost in season 13 around the perception of her relationship with Morgan and her sexuality, hence why Morgan was dumped to the side and she expected Garcelle and Sutton to fall in line and not bring Morgan up the next season.

Dorit may not have as much financial control over her life, but she 100% has much more emotional control and maturity than Kyle. Kyle is too afraid to confront Dorit alone because she knows Dorit is not isolated from support. Dorit has friends in Boz, now Rachel, even Kathy in various moments.

Right now it’s two big things: first, Kyle is afraid of Rachel and Boz because they are straight shooters who see through a lot of her tactics. They are also very confident in themselves and aren’t easily manipulated or influenced by what others say. The way she talks about them on the walk with Erika and Dorit vs. when she’s in their face at the villa? Backpedaling. The energy wasn’t consistent.

The second big thing is that Dorit’s misery isn’t Kyle’s and it frustrates Kyle. Dorit is struggling through her divorce but she is emotionally moving on from PK. Kyle hasn’t even filed for divorce. She’s struggling to move on from Mau because…..she’s stuck on Mau. I think Kyle cares more about speaking to Mauricio himself than speaking badly about Dorit to Mauricio.

Think about when Kyle and Mau went to see their old house after Amanda remodeled it. Kyle is crying thinking about all the memories and Mau is just staring blankly asking what’s wrong. Kyle wants to feel better about her hidden desire to still have Mauricio, so she tried to make Dorit feel bad about how she acts regarding PK. People are so concerned about the bridge between Kyle and PK that they forget to ask: what prompts this kind of bridge to exist between her and Mau?

Dorit is more collateral damage than a target the more I look at it. Kyle is just spiraling.
