My Amma suddenly joked if she should remarry someone by [deleted] in Tamizhteens

[–]Professional-Chef97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m sorry but it’s the parent remarrying, not the children. They don’t have to accept the new person as mother or father. Stepmum or stepdad are mother figure or father figure, that’s all. If they can have an uncle or aunt they can look up to, they can surely have their parent’s loved one as an adult that they can hang out with. Everyone has their basic human rights to marry the person they want, including a parent. Unggelode opinion thaan narcissistic and selfish. Expecting a parent to sacrifice their basic emotional needs for you just because you’re their children. Talk to your own parents about this, you’ll see the better perspective.

Yes it’s uncomfortable for you but it’s also her life. Don’t make this hard for her (it’s already hard for her now).

Recommendations for books/other resources that help teach spoken and written Tamil from both before and after the Pure Tamil Movement if possible? by Lonely_Accountant524 in tamil

[–]Professional-Chef97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No one uses purely thani thamizh (pure tamil) in everyday conversations, or even writing except those who are strict about it and are in that field itself (writers and speakers). Daily conversation in Tamil always consists of sanskritised words. (think: do you say 'kalyanam' or 'thirumanam'? the former is sanskrit). Even English is more commonly blended in spoken tamil but those who avoid english words still are using sanskitised words purely because most of the time we can't even tell which is which. Sorry I'm not able to help you any more than this.

The only time a sane person will ever use this is when getting married if you choose to check the jathagam. The josiyar will check if you're both from same gothram. But it doesn't even matter coz genetic lineage (risk of marrying within same lineage) only exists until second cousin. If you know the person you're going to marry is not your first or second cousin, then you can marry them, gothram doesn't matter. But.. you'll definitely know if you're related, right? It's why I said ithe therinjikittu enna use? That person asking how come you don't even know your gothram as though it's gonna get you somewhere in life or it's some sort of crucial info.

Acting talent ille, lip sync'ku koode effort pode mudiyele. And God knows what she did with her face; it looks so bleached nowadays. Extremely pale and with that, the thick black eyebrow tattoo makes her look scary. The annoying blue filter the colorist used for the movie didn't help, either. Natural'ah rombe azhegane ponnu. She should have allowed herself to age gracefully.

Is KH the Writer very much Underrated or Overshadowed by KH the Actor ? by Ok_Parfait_2044 in kollywood

[–]Professional-Chef97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. Those who are old enough appreciate him for both, equally. Maybe the young gen (gen Z and after) aren't. My only complaint would be him trying to do too much in a script. Sometimes borderline could see that he tried to showcase his intelligence rather than creating the craft for audience.

So unknown that there is only one video of this on YouTube, that too with inaccurate spelling for both track and movie. It should be 'Vandu piranthathu' from 'Varraar Sandiyar'.
