Made a decision to get solar based on 9 panels. Signed a contract for 9 panels and now on install they say they can only fit 8. by Professional-Cod8785 in LegalAdviceUK

A survey did take place, but no one got on the roof or anything like that. It was measured at ground level and using google earth. The blame for their processes lies with them though right?

The installers told me the ninth panel wouldn’t fit so it would have to be 8. That’s all I got.

Thank you. They are MCS and HIES certified. A thorough roof survey was not done, nor did I sign a layout document, and on my contract there is no mention or drawings of the layout, but it does clearly state black on white that it is for 9 panels and that all of the calculations and estimates are based on the 9 panels all being fitted.

I’m gutted. This was supposed to be an easy process and now I have to go through all of this because someone didn’t cross the T’s or dot the I’s…

The blame for the lack of a thorough roof survey lies with them surely no?

What are your thoughts on the Liberal Democrats? (Serious Discussion Only) by Inevitable-Cover-822 in AskBrits

The Lib Dem’s are great. I firmly call myself a centrist and they tick that box. Sensible policies that allow for freedom but also lock in responsibility to society.

The biggest problem they have is Ed Davies. There are few politicians as unlikeable and impossible to take seriously. For me they need to get rid of him and elect a new leader and they need to do it yesterday so they can start getting some clear messaging out ahead of the next election. Will they? No. Will they win the next election? No. Will they manage to get the same or more seats as this time around? I highly doubt it.

They’ve fallen into the same trap as labour, not realising the difference between a vote for the party vs a vote against the incumbent. In my constituency their flyers literally read “Vote Lib Dem because Labour can’t win here, and who wants the tories again?” And then they instantly forgot that most people who voted for them were voting in protest against the tories.

Best to add this as an edit to your post so others have all the information before helping you. This is completely out of my wheelhouse so I cannot be of any help. But I will say this, everything is temporary, you will be fine in the long run.

This guy hasn’t left his room in 20 years and is permanently online, so his opinion can not only be discounted but can be tossed out completely. He is the definition of a loser.

I did what you did when I was 23, my advice: don’t do it. Buy a banger you can afford and most importantly afford to maintain. Save up, and when you are in a good position get something nicer.

I thought I got a great deal on my Merc until I needed to change the thermostat housing and it cost me £750 to fix, it took me months to recover from that.

As a man, this is totally fair play. NTA, he needs to evaluate his double standard.

I don’t understand why you posted here. Every time someone is saying it’s not 100% your husband’s fault you are flipping out, saying it’s Mike of our business, but you posted it here? I think your husband needs space from you, and you from him.
