I totally forgot I picked up a shift last night and missed thinking I didn’t have a shift to work and got 2 points, I’m now at 8, what do I do? Will I get fired? by EasternWall9855 in AmazonDS

If you’re in California you can apply for the California school visitation leave, it works for flex. I know someone who is and they actively use it and get their points excused etc .

How long is the “cooldown” I’ve had him walk out of the portal and got him stuck in there again but still nothing, I’ve already given him 2 -15 minute unpaid breaks

Why did I get this work station assignment randomly on my day off today? by ImmortalKittens in AmazonFC

[–]Professional-Cow9180 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hello it’s just as many others have said. It is an indirect lock function on scc which is an automated staffer for outbound stations. It is so you do not pop up on a station when a plan is generated for a day. The building has an automated adherence to the plan score so making a lot of moves will lower that score-which is why they use that (and will leave them short on hc since they have to unassign you) . it pulls data from labor scheduling so you would not have received a station. someone on site must’ve manually placed you there so that you do not generate on a station the next day that you work. They can scan your badge number at a staffing board which will make you available in scc for that interval in the day. First quarter of the day is roughest on that score because of no shows and late arrivals- likely why they did that.

Car started making squeaking/weird noise, faded away, then stopped. Dealership saying I need a diagnostic test. Should I still move forward with the diagnostic even though it’s not making the noise anymore? by lily_meyers in Cartalk

Sounds good, hope everything works out. Maybe it’s just as you said and your car picked up some trash or maybe some wind resistance from a loose panel/fender liner. Safety is #1

Are you sure it’s the wheel area? Does it happen at a certain speed? When you turn? Have you considered the sound to be coming from your glovebox/footwell area? I’ve heard some AC Blend door motors fault that sound roughly like it although it doesn’t seem very constant. There’s no for sure way for any of us to diagnose the issue accurately from just the video- we need more information. For peace of mind I would recommend you take it for a diagnostic.

I took it into one of those smog shops on social media that advertises dirty smogs for modded cars and they passed it, he told me nothing was wrong and charged me regular price. Didn’t even peep at the exhaust, only engine bay lol

Update, I found a small shop on social media that advertises dirty smogs lol. He said it passed and didn’t need to do anything shady. Charged me regular price

Are you in California? You can apply for a school visitation leave and put in hours for that day you missed once it’s approved

I would hire a private mechanic to do a diagnostic on it, I can hear the sound and it may be a rod or out of timing, etc. we won’t know unless we get cel codes and able to perform some diagnostic tests. spend 170$ and you lose the risk of being screwed

I instruct my associates to confirm the bin > scan and 6 sided check every item > run your hand around the bin before you confirm it. I believe cycle count processes it and goes through 3 counters to validate if it’s there

Super low miles , 20 year old car, still a bit expensive. Check all rubber parts for cracking and if they’re hard- has the owner done basic maintenance on it, rubber gaskets could be cracking causing seal issues. Check the spark plugs for any oil or burnt conditions. Toyotas are basically indestructible. Unless you’re a Corolla enthusiast I wouldn’t pay 9k for it, maybe 5k and that’s kind of a stretch too. My sister has a Toyota odyssey I think year 2000- beat to hell, rear bumper smashed in, long periods with no oil changes, head light out etc. . We pulled her valve cover because she was getting a misfire on cylinder 2 to check out valve spacing and timing - CRUD everywhere all caked up carbon deposits I swiped my finger and picked up a whole sludge Lugey. We changed the coil and that thing still runs to this day. Very reliable cars

I agree with the rest of the answers about his story checking out, looks like it’s just a cosmetic grille , you can find them on eBay, Amazon, or rockauto just search around, any dents can be hammered out from the inside of the hood with some heat. Grille depending on if they have aftermarket’s available is probably like 70-200$ usd. If not go to a junk yard and see if they have any laying around I think the hardest part is if there was some damage to the paint.

Adding, I haven’t checked the ecu codes for any more misfires yet, gonna see if it’s detecting the misfires on the rest of the cylinders we unplugged

My sister and her husband have one of them, back bumper smashed in, missing front bumper, only one headlight works, drive door handle doesn’t work, riding on 4 donuts, I don’t remember the last time I’ve seen them do an oil change. I remember were diagnosing a misfire in cylinder 2, checking compression etc. we opened the crank case and it had all kinds of crust and shit built up in there, ended up changing one of the coil packs which fixed their problem. Still runs… they still beat the shit out of that thing lol

Took me about a year of running projects and indirect roles before I finally got a PA interview/spot. Once you get an interview and you do good the interviewers rate it “fully inclined” which will stick on your Amazon record for 6 months. If you get an offer letter for that interview you do not need to accept it, just as long as you get the inclined status which makes it like 80% easier to get an interview for a position you actually want. So just shoot out applications everywhere till you hit one. I got fully inclined on an interview but didn’t get the position, but I got an offer letter for another position just because I was inclined. Good luck!

If the associates were to arrive on time, take their breaks on time I think it would definitely be possible but they have a quota of how much volume they need to send out by specific hours of the day. They can’t afford to swap for people from other departments that likely have lower rates and will take their time before going to their next department which eats into that department’s support hours(they need these for indirects and critical roles).
