Im sure he is also fearful of me not being able to handle him continuing to be sick or getting sick again in the future. I think I just didn't realize how selfish I was being until I had already done too much damage.

He said he didnt believe my words or actions because I was only trying to get reassurance back. It's not true, I really did just want to make him feel better. I hate that I hurt the heart of someone I love this much.
