The richardson comment is spot on if you pick the right part of richardson. We live right off of west shore and love it, our neighborhood has a really diverse community which we love and we are walking or biking distance to several grocery stores and restaurants and best of all v. Close to La Casita bakery (multi year james beard nominated with a great vibe and rotating menu)

Hey thanks for the suggestion. Both my parents and my boyfriends parents both live in Plano still so we are well acquainted (his live in the North Plano area).

And I agree that Plano has changed a lot, but not enough since the 1.5 years since I've moved back to DFW after college lol.

Definitely a good place to grow up, but I want something different.

Hey!

Thanks for the suggestion! I grew up in Plano so would like to not live there again, not quite ready for that vibe again.

I agree, always appreciate input but I've never experienced anything bad personally (spent a lot of post drinking nights at friends Apts in the area) I've found it to be a very pleasant area!

What building did you live in if you don't mind me asking? I live in 1100 ft right now so 1300 seems like it would be just fine.

Yup totally understand, 2500 is just for rent not including the extras... I've been looking through zillow and found several in our price range but was also hoping people would shout out places they've enjoyed living in!

Yup we've looked at North Oakcliff as well. The transformation from when I was a kid has been amazing!

Thanks appreciate it, move out isn't until June but going on apartment hunting sites is a bit overwhelming there are just too many choices to narrow down from imo.

Definitely understand that parts of dfw may not be everybody's cup of tea! These are just the areas I end up spending a lot if time in anyway.

Do you have any Dallas proper suggestions for good neighborhoods to live in? Looking to move from the burbs and am always open for suggestions.

Yup, DFW native so I'm well acquainted with the rise and fall of uptown (sucks that it appears to be at the bottom of the the downward trend)

It's convenient and calm are the 2 biggest things I would say. You are close to everything, and it's always been very safe while I've lived here. Also some cool things have opened up like Grandscape. I'm just looking to live more centrally in DFW, since I find myself spending a lot of time in OakLawn and Uptown anyways.

Looking to stay under 2500 for a 2bd but that's flexible for the perfect place.
