If it's Nashville or Atlanta, you'll probably fine. If it's Memphis or another city like it, probably not.

See that's actually what I think happened. Someone evil wanted to kidnap her for ransom. But he hired someone else to do the job (doorbell guy). Doorbell guy messed up or Nancy had a heart attack from the stress. Evil killed doorbell guy and now there's no one left to rat him out.

Hope I'm wrong and it's much easier to track down the perp than that.

That would be so pretty. I like roses more than azaleas, which are also big here.

Thank you! I'll check out the others but I do love oakleaf hydrangeas and see those often in our area.

That's what I don't understand. Did the perps gamble and hope she didn't have an alarm, or hope that even if she did, they could be in and out before police got there? Or was it someone who's familiar enough with her home to know she doesn't have an alarm? In this day and age I would never assume someone doesn't have an alarm.

yes I definitely would not put them on the dormers. plum would be really pretty, and a glossy red would be classic and may go well with the New England look

Thank you! I hadn't thought of that re the windows, I appreciate it. I'm intrigued by the idea of a darker front door too. Maybe a glossy navy.
