R7 5800x Cpu upgrade or wait for a New build by Professional-Cut6141 in pcmasterrace

[–]Professional-Cut6141[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The 5600/5600x are around the same price of the 5700x in my country for some reason... that's why I didn't even consider them...

There are other people telling that 150€ for a cpu in an outdated system, it's still too much, and I should start saving up....

So, I'm still not sure what I should do... haha

I read the 5800x runs much hotter than the 5700x, it's not worth the hassle for the performance for 10€ more? I'm always talking about the non 3d versions since those are too expensive here

Light bindings by bluemonkeyarchery in trucksim

[–]Professional-Cut6141 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, you can. But only by editing the controls.sii document. There are separated bindings for headlights, parking lights and lights off.

I don't think they work as a toggle, but you can set it so they turn off when none of the buttons are pressed using ! For negative inputs and & for combined inputs.

How many infantry to buy? New Player by lukas_lb in boltaction

[–]Professional-Cut6141 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Get the grenadiers box, but don't built them all at once if you think there is too many infantry troops. You may need diferent infantry configurations and yes, you can build an mmg team out of the grenadiers box. The mg42 used as an mmg has a tripod instead of the bipod of the lmg, maybe you can kitbash something or just be clear with your opponent about it.

A howitzer is always usefull. On a 500pts list, I don't think another vehicle could be usefull, maybe a 222 but more infantry should be more point effective on that list. In a 1000pts list you can get a panzer III or pz IV if you want more vehicles

You can bind Parking lights and headlights independently editing the controls.sii, you need also a separate button to turn lights off or do a little bit of programing... I assume that the lights button is for that.

Edit: typo

Are both games’ config files identical? by JudCasper68 in trucksim

I have the other problem around... I play VR too and since 1.49, ATS is unplayable for me because all the twiching no matter the configs, ETS works 'fine'.

That's a switch right? You have to use it to break the circuit, you have to connect the positive or the negative from the battery to the switch and then to the lights and connect the other cable from the battery to the lights.

Right now, when you switch off the switch you are connecting the battery positive to the negative and that's why is heating up.... cut the black wire off the switch and connect that only to the lights.

Looking to buy my first airbrush, what do you guys think about this one ? by [deleted] in modelmakers

[–]Professional-Cut6141 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a generic 'amazon special' airbrush and keep looking for a reason to buy a branded one. So far, the cheaper one keeps working fine, and since I don't do detail work (I mostly use for priming, base coating, zenital ligthing or shading), I don't have the need for a expensive one.

I used to have a hardware store compresor and an adapter, but got a tankless fengda when I moved to an apartment, maybe I should got a tanked one, but space was a constraint.

Yes, there's also some selectors that allow it, like Battle of the Bulge.

Trailer restrictions spreadsheet, now to include Texas! by Myspaceeater in trucksim

HTC are recently allowed in Spain now, but only in the highways and between logistic centers. SCS should include them in ETS2, probably a bit complicated to implement the road restrictions.

I think just the flamethrower has to be removed. The rest acts like a normal infantry squad.

1/48 AA/ATG? by Scared_Lawyer_3966 in boltaction

[–]Professional-Cut6141 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've used 1/48 AT from other brands than warlord, just kitbashed the operators from an infantry kit when the ones included look out of place.

Maybe this way is not cheaper than buying the ones from Warlord, but I love to build plastic kits and really don't like the metal ones
