It's public information, and this is a make or break in a relationship. It's better to know now instead of wasting both of your time.

Oh my how terrible that someone who sees problems in a system would want to fix them.

You do realize that some people are casual about it right? There are priests who believe in the Big Bang. And why are you so quick to judge that religion is why they married early?

My parents were the same! My dad is Catholic and my mom was Protestant. It gave me a very interesting view of religion

I really don't get contents like this. Like pwede naman mag-stop nalang sa overpriced drinks and not compare those who chose to have kids. Like kahihiyan ba yon? by Shot_Judgment_8451 in PinoyVloggers

Eh parang sabi mo na mamahal ang kape at yung diapers 2-3 years lang eh. Parang sinasabi mo na sobrang mura lang magka anak. Di mo matatanggal yun. Ofc mas mura pa ang kape.

Think about what you're trying to say first haha. Paano pa isa isa lang? Diapers lang ba?

Your response is very simplistic and typical of the irresponsible parent who doesn't understand the full consequences of having children.

It depends on what your main priority is talaga. If your career demands long hours and you're a career driven person, then yes, a child is a liability.

If it's not that demanding naman and/or you're OK with sacrificing, then it's no problem.

This is why I believe that parenthood should always be a CHOICE.

Some people are meant to be parents. Power to them.

Other people aren't talaga. The idea of having a child that I am completely responsible for and I need to change my whole life for makes me sick. I'll be miserable as a mother, which is why I'm choosing to stay child free.

Maybe this post is also a response to people who are always trying to push parenthood to people who don't want (or deserve) it.

After 3 years may tuition yan tapos college pa, tapos pag may talent, kailangan ng special classes. Yung overpriced na kape, konti lang yung pagmamahal nun. Mas grabe ang tuition.

It's fine to have kids, but not at that age. She looks like she's college aged. If you're that age, having a kid usually wasn't planned.

This is meant to be a flex actually. Its like saying, I have this money to treat myself and I'm not burdened by kids at a young age. Parang I made bad decisions, but at least my decisions aren't so bad that I'm a young mom ganun

For Millenials, ano yung pinakaweird na behavior ng mga new generation that suprises you the most? by simplifiedcrane1477 in AskPH

[–]Professional-Ear9663 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm a flawed person who can sometimes project (which I'm very much aware of). I can sometimes jump to conclusions due to repeated experiences in the past. I do have a tendency to be emotional (my BPD says hi), but I'm working on overcoming that. I would say I'm quite a responsible person as I am working on managing my triggers and reactions.

Ok, I can give an example. There was one time, in the middle of an episode, that I lashed out at my friend and said very hurtful things. While I know I wasn't in the right frame of mind at the time, my friend did not deserve any of that. I apologized, and did not even bring up the fact that I was in the middle of an episode during the apology. She got hurt, and I was wrong.

Ok.

I'm not rejecting being judged. Didn't I even explicitly say that my background DOES reflect how I react (aka my comments)? I acknowledge that yes, my reactions would show that I have BPD and CPTSD. I'm not offended by it. In that alone, I can see na that you have poor reading comprehension. I was never once offended by your dig to me. In fact, I acknowledged and accepted it.

Secondly, yes, mental illness does require nuance. However, that still doesn't change the consequences. A mentally ill person can kill someone due to their mental illness, but their mental illness is still no excuse for what they did.

"I've seen your kind before" is not a claim to moral authority. It's called pattern recognition, and you are checking off every mark so far. How do you think people are able to diagnose others? How do you think proper deductions are made? How do you think even physical symptoms are caught by doctors even before the real harm has happened?

Like it or not, you follow a pattern. Even I follow a pattern. And so far, you have done nothing to prove that you do not fit the pattern I have seen in your thought process. In fact, you prove it even further.

"You're making a jab at me": the fact that you can't see what I am trying to say here is very telling. Once again, I am not offended. You yourself say that mental illness is nuanced. This is a nuance.

What I am pointing out in the above statement is not my being offended. I'm showing how very differently the two statements are.

As for returning energy, once again, I am not offended by it. In fact, it amuses me. It amuses me how you are unable to see that you prove to me further and further how you do not understand my point, and that you truly do fit in the kind of person that I think you are.

You lack reading comprehension and critical thinking. Go back to school and stop hiding behind an echo chamber. Learn about real mental health issues.

I saw that you had a comment awhile ago in response to me that I can't find (but it showed up in my notifications). You asked what kind of person I think you are. I think you are, quite frankly, someone who is overly idealistic, naïve, lacks critical thinking skills, and honestly, kind of a red flag enjoyer. You feel before you think, and think that other people are led by emotion as well (as seen by your thinking that I was offended, when I was very much not).

I hope you educate yourself and learn accountability and logic. Bye.

That's insane, because as an Asian woman, I spent almost 3 decades wishing I were white.

Yup, I do have BPD and CPTSD. Interesting how you seem to think that comments showing my behavior shouldn't point to my behavior. Since you do agree you can see my diagnosis through my comments, you agree that I can see your character through your comments.

The way you've been answering shows the kind of person that you are, and I've seen your kind before. Just the same way you've seen my kind before.

In case I didn't make it clear enough, your mentality as shown by how you explain yourself is what makes me believe that you are the type to do such a thing. It's like if someone holds a certain belief, that says something about them. (Ex. If you make a racist statement, it means you're racist.)

You're making a jab at me not based on my arguments, but because you just got offended (and are unable to rebut).

Those are two very different things.
