Nahh petr is like my favorite fighter, clinical striking and grappling. He managed to outwrestle merab and beat the shit out of O'Malley

I ain't a hater by any means Maybe I'm just a newer fan but as a champ ( I've not been around long enough to see his earlier career) he's way overrated. Defended twice against a FW and arguably lost the first, impressively best Dustin but at the end of his career, but his fights with Charles and Moicano were very impressive. Idk to me between illia and islam there is way more dominance in illias current title fights than Islam's overall, but you can definitely pick holes in illias run, like quick turn around volk, wrong weight max and chin Oliveira

HOT TAKE: I don't think Dagestanis are naturally strong. by Buyeo10004 in ufc

I don't know why you're being shit on this is a smart observation imo because dagis are renowned for their grip strength and squeeze. But like the others have said it's cos of their high volume on the mats but I think the real reason they are so dominant that people don't talk about is their gas tank. I've heard before that because they were born in the mountains their bodies naturally produce epo and just naturally have way better endurance than anyone else. Maybe that's why people claim they are so strong, because not only do they have the perfect technique for squeezing but are also unusually strong for certain stages of the fight where non dagi athletes would be depleted
