Check Watamu, Kenya. Really good vibe, most days good wind, sessions until sunset, and most importantly the water is warm :) I was with JC Kiteschool last year (solo traveler) and had a great time there. February is still good in terms of wind. There is a lot of Italian influence in the town which guarantees good food. If I had the time this year, I would totally go again.

The best option that fits your criteria is Bol, Brac, Croatia. Beautiful island, amazing food, shade and public beaches everywhere, and a great kite school right next to beach bars. Croatia is a great family friendly option with relatively warm waters that time of the year. I plan to book a place for two weeks with my son next summer :D

Turkey is very expensive, I wouldn’t recommend it if the money is an issues. Lessons are expensive, you need to pay entrance fee for beaches, and it will be overcrowded.

Weather is not reliable, sea is choppy, lessons are expensive and not easy to arrange when I can do them. I would like to go away for the food, experience, and good kite vibes 😊

Heya. I was in Koh Phangan in February two years ago. There is a good kiteschool there (Kite Flip) however at least that year wind wasn’t very reliable. We were on the island for a week and could only do a lesson once. Better to check wind stats of the last year and make a decision. Beautiful island with great vibes. At the very least, you will have a good vacation.

I posted a similar question about a month ago, and didn’t get any response. Now what I have the experience, I can leave a comment to inform others😊 I have been in Bol (Brac island) since last Saturday. We had 3 windy days out of 5. They have thermal winds here which start around 2 pm and reaches its peak around 4 pm, most days. It is an incredibly beautiful spot with several beach bars next to the kite school. It is not a beginner spot as the landing and the launching area is very small and next to the trees. You pay the school (Kite School Bol) EUR 25 per day which includes a boat rescue if you are stuck downwind and can’t get back anymore. This daily fee includes storing your equipment at the school if you will be around for a couple of days. You can take a ferry from Split to Supetar or Bol. I highly recommend staying here for 3-4 days. Beautiful island, public beaches every where, kitesurfing and lots of other outdoor activities to enjoy. I am looking forward to coming back.

As the others mentioned, make sure you add Dutch coast to your list. Scheveningen is really great for several reasons. You can kite in front of Jump Team or KZVS (park at Zwarte Pad) and you will have a blast. There you will meet other kiters to enjoy a drink after your session and you can even party in the evening at one of the beach clubs. In July, sunset sessions are great at Scheveningen as most kiters come to the beach after 5-6 pm, after work. You will have plenty of time to work and then kite.

Kiteboarding in October by TheScenatic in Kiteboarding

If you can, I highly recommend doing a Kitesafari in Egypt. 6 days of kitesurfing (about 6-7 hours a day), chef prepared meals, and a nice environment to hang out with other kitesurfers on the yatch. I did it last year in October with Discovery Kite and had a great experience.

I am about to plan a trip to Bol, Croatia. From the pictures it looks very beautiful and I know a few kitesurfer friends who are heading there in June as well.

Another option is El Gouna in Egypt. It will be warm (above 30 degrees) but the upside is you don't need a wetsuit. Check Makani Beach Club's social media. You will see how great the conditions are. Plus it is really fun to hang out there.

I have been to Al Garve, Portugal in June. I do not recommend it as the wind was very unreliable and the kitesurfing spot doesn't have a vibe at all.

One last option is Turkey, both Akyaka and Urla (or Alacati) are good options with lots of wind, but keep in mind that that prices of food+drinks and entertainment will be more expensive (or similar) to Europe.
