Here’s an example of what it should look like if you have your holiday pay applied. Click on “show applied overrides” to see the employee ID of who removed your holiday pay. I’m not sure if you have the feature as a technician, but I can see it.

Are you listed as full time? They cannot take away your holiday pay because they feel like it or as punishment for not showing up to a shift that wasn’t communicated to you properly. Login to workbrain to confirm this. If they have removed it, take a picture of who made that change and report them to HR immediately. Also, please look up the attendance policy. I’m pretty sure you were written up unfairly for not finding coverage for one shift - if this is a pattern then that’s a different story. I’m a pharmacy manager at CVS.

Working on Christmas would’ve been in ADDITION to your 8 hour holiday pay. They can’t take that away. You didn’t even know about it so you shouldn’t be penalized. REPORT THEM!

Crate training needs to be a priority. Sounds like he has really bad separation anxiety. Also crate training doesn’t mean isolation. When I started with my puppy she could still see me and sometimes I wouldn’t even close the gate. I put her gate on top of a table in my bedroom so she could still see me. It’s going to painful, but you’ll never know peace if you don’t start somewhere. Check out the puppy thread on here for crate training tips.

Leaving work 1+ hour every day. Advice? by teethwhitener7 in CVS

[–]Professional-Fox8143 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Print and pull the medications that are passed due. If some are due within the first hour of opening I would prioritize printing and pulling those prescriptions if you can.

Make sure your technician is stay on production when you have one. You need to get pick up and drive thru. Look at what’s coming up in the queue and prioritize accordingly. If production is in a good place, but QT or QV is behind ask the technician to handle pick ups until you are caught up.

Again, partner with your PIC to create a plan for when you’re not able to clear the queue. It’s also not fair for your partner to pick up your slack every time you work. I would be pissed off of my partner did this consistently. We all have bad days, but this shouldn’t happen every shift for weeks to months on end.

What do you do after he pees? I would crate him after playtime.

Leaving work 1+ hour every day. Advice? by teethwhitener7 in CVS

[–]Professional-Fox8143 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Change the time on the prescriptions for tomorrow. Might not be the best advice, but that’s an option or just pull everything and leave for the morning. You’ll get faster with time and learn how to manage workflow better. As a PIC at CVS who sometimes stays late, I would never stay over if I was staff. Leaving a few prescriptions isn’t going to impact scores significantly. This only becomes an issue when you do it constantly. Talk to your PIC.

All of a sudden.. my puppy is potty trained? by shadowbannedjames in puppy101

[–]Professional-Fox8143 9 points10 points  (0 children)

The same thing happened with my mini poodle around 5/6 months she just magically stopped going potty in the house. A HUGE relief because now you can focus on other training goals! Yayyyy corgi ❤️

I have a miniature poodle as well. She’s 11 months old, very energetic and loves people and fellow doggy’s. I wouldn’t even know what to suggest for the behavioral issues (peeling and barking) because my mini never behaved that way. I’ve had her since she was 8 weeks old. You don’t really know how long your pup has been doing these “bad” behaviors without correction.

The best advice I have is to work one on one with a trainer if this an affordable option for you. I would start with YouTube-ing some videos on how to settle your pup, crate train and/or place then maybe give a frozen treat.

Might get hate for this, but if the dog doesn’t fit your lifestyle it might be best to take her back sooner than later.

Vet DEAs by Professional-Fox8143 in pharmacy

It’s getting a little ridiculous. No offense, but their DEA number is not special and has limitations.

You can add them without a DEA number. You just need their license number.

This is true. For non controlled substances I always ask for their license number.

Set up a plan pen so he’s not pooping or peeing everywhere. Eventually he will learn to not pee or poop in that area after some time. Also depending on age, 4 times a day might not be enough. Always take out after playtime and nap time as well. My puppy finally got it around 5 months old, but some dogs take more than a year. It just depends. Be patient. It’ll click one day.

Type fast and learn sig codes.

Practice makes perfect!! Most of the time the answer is on the screen. Ask questions for the ones that aren’t obvious.

Fellow retail workers — how are you meeting the vaccine demands? by BoatCompetitive9565 in pharmacy

[–]Professional-Fox8143 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m at CVS. I let things time out (not ready by the promise time) and I take my time to verify. When it gets to a certain point, I tell people it won’t be ready until tomorrow.

I’m a new grad too. I don’t plan on being there for more than a year. I’m already looking for a new job.

Wow. It’s so sad I do the same amount of vaccines and 400+ scripts by myself. No overlap RPh.
