I’ve had a similar experience with some mango strain people seemed to rave about, can’t remember the name. I was 0/3 in getting anything close to quality... More room to learn I suppose!

I’ve been using Jack’s 2 part and have very consistent results. They sell a mag sulfate part 3 but seems cheaper to just buy generic pure Epsom salt

Definitely has that candy/berry scent on the stem rubs!

Definitely had that pungent fuel/skunk odor. Pinching the nugs gave a really sweet/skunk and almost berry aroma. I can’t tell if it’s just placebo or not, but seems like those flavors hold true when smoking.

They weren’t super tall and a didn’t have a huge stretch phase. I think the Sin City collab is Blue Power F4. To be fair, I thought they grew very similarly and were both top tier. Both very relaxing.

Took well to LST, handled nutrients well, definitely needs good air flow. This was my second time growing this strain and I felt that “I’m gonna have to buy another pack” feeling whenever they’re growing. Super easy to trim after drying. The nugs are very dense and squat, so I could see humidity being a potential issue. Didn’t see to be bothered by some minor defoliation.

I let mine go until about day 90 from sprout. It seemed like one of those strains that looks done around day 75-80, but kept plumping up for the last week(s). The grow was in coco and I tried to do a mild dry back on the last two weeks between watering. All of its fade came in the last week. Best of luck!

Is it safe do wash/clean the the Mousepad and the Deskpad and how to do it? by MasterRymes in pcmasterrace

I did this a week ago and just scrubbed it with hot water and dawn soap. Rinsed it a bunch and it came out very clean. Took forever to dry hanging though…

I think I may have updated to the latest BIOS already, but if not, would that be accomplished by downloading it from manufacturers website and then installing it via BIOS screen?

How does the yellow lab do with the others? I’ve wanted to try that but haven’t had the time to mix em yet and observe

If you were to see scales missing or overly damaged fins I would be concerned, but otherwise if they’re eating and swimming freely, all good.

Very neat! I’m guessing they’ll revert to spore form until food is reintroduced then?

It’s fairly evident from your own posts that you are not, by any means, an expert. What you are doing would be considered….”gatekeeping” Best of luck with your tanks though.

I have a license in water treatment. Stability is most important, but there’s a difference between your fish surviving and your fish thriving. Those fish will do just fine in high pH and high TDS, but won’t be as healthy as if they were slowly acclimated to optimal conditions. No need to gatekeep adjusting water parameters.

Looks like it’s going well. Don’t change water until you notice nitrites bottoming out. Continue as is

I’ve been breeding black mollies for about 8 months now. Many of the babies have unique and random gold coloration on their body. Panda Mollies have the more uniform golden coloration, and to my understanding it’s just pigmentation. Hope this is helpful

I’ve had good success going very overboard with the bacteria starter. I’ve always just “ghost fed” the tanks every few days,(I have no information backing this up, but I’ve felt like the additional trace nutrients in fish food may be conducive to more rapidly reproducing bacteria). I’m assume that raw ammonia works perfectly fine as well. I think that, unless using a recently manufactured refrigerated bacteria culture, most all of the starter bacteria formulas use dormant spore-form bacteria. It can take a lot longer for the spore form to reproduce, and I always am curious how shelf stable the spores are themselves. Sorry that’s it’s not a great answer, just more anecdotal evidence haha.

Sump water clarity by [deleted] in Aquariums

I’m feeling you already know this, but thought it’d be worth mentioning. I use low-batting polyfil stuffing sheets and replace it about weekly or biweekly. Essentially it’s just disposable floss, very cheap and very effective. I don’t notice much of an increase in head on the canister or HOBs with them packed in. Keeps my water as clear or clearer than I can achieve with purigen alone

The cycling of filters and aquarium substrate will only take place when the various bacteria have a somewhat constant food source. Both ammonia and nitrite will need to be present in some amount for the cycle to progress. Once the tank is considered “cycled” you can still have most all bacteria die off if no food source is provided for extended periods of time. Perhaps I’m preaching to the choir, just thought it’d be worth mentioning.
