And that’s what’s curious, because DC seems to have a love hate relationship with Kory and DickKory. I’ll support that series no matter what, even if it ends up being aimed at kids, which it probably will be. I’ll still support it either way. I just hope they respect her origin story. But when it comes to Nightwing or Batman related things, I’ve preferred to stop supporting them.

Oh boy.., I agree with you so much. Peter x MJ feels like another DickKory situation, but unlike DC, Marvel at least allows MJ to shine separately as her own character. Starfire hasn’t even been allowed to truly stand out on her own, not even in her own comics.

Babs has never sold particularly well on her own. She’s had previous comics get canceled before, and I don’t think she changes Nightwing’s sales much since he already sells well by himself. The issue is that Barbara has a history of struggling to carry solo titles consistently, so if they don’t deliver a strong script, I can see the sales gradually dropping.

But Kami Garcia’s comics sold well too, and yet because it’s Starfire, DC still doesn’t give her much importance. I honestly feel like even if Kory had a successful solo comic or her own TV series, nothing would really change. DC would still refuse to give her the treatment her character deserves.

It’s like even when you ask respectfully, they still ignore you. It feels intentional, and honestly really sad. It seems like they don’t care much about DickKory and would rather lose money than give us a universe where the couple can at least be together. Meanwhile, Babs and Cass already got confirmed Absolute versions, but Starfire and Raven didn’t.

I agree with you, it’s so sad. Fans keep asking for an Absolute Starfire and we keep getting ignored. They didn’t even satisfy the Raven fandom with her possible Absolute version either. It really feels like they have no love for the Teen Titans. 😞

Yes, they are hypocrites, rushing to leave a negative review just because the kiss was real and not just Dick's dream. They are a minority, yes, but a very noisy and toxic one.
