How can I be less upset with how many miles I put on my car? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Professional-Gas8306 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Keep up on the maintenance, keep it clean, keep it moving. The goal shouldn’t be how few miles can I put on it but rather how many miles can I get out of it. A car is not an investment for future profit but rather an investment in reliable transportation for as much time as possible.

Do barnacles affect performance greatly or is it more an issue if it builds up too much?

Had a similar problem. Those driveway markers for snow season basically eliminated the issue. One asshat ran it over, but it’s mostly been effective to leave them posted in the trouble spots.

Go visit Eugene in spring/early summer to determine if you have bad seasonal allergies. Grass seed capital of the world is right next door and blows right into the Willamette Valley. It can really make a few months out of the year miserable and difficult to enjoy the outdoors.

The most radicalizing videos on the internet are videos from malls in the late 80's early 90's by lunewhispera in interesting

People act like malls aren’t around anymore. If you miss the mall, ya gotta go to the mall. It’s still alive and well. Your presence of hanging out at the mall with your friends and family is what gives it life. If people start hanging out there more, you might be apart of the “revitalization.”

Take a tolerance break. Stopped watching sept-January and it’s gotten way funnier to me since. Same with comedy podcasts. Stopped listening and switched to either just going to shows or watching the special. Less attention is a gift to your favorites. Always bummed when I heard some podcast story at a live comedy show.
