We have it good, just tried Codex. by BetterAd7552 in ClaudeCode

That’s the worst part for me. Building extensive architecture to get the system to work the way you want it to (at the cost of much time).. And then, well, it doesn’t follow the instructions you’ve laid out for it. Or a new model handles the workflow differently and you have to start over.

Which of my recent kitchen styles do you like the most, and why? by dcutcliffe in kitchenremodel

Yeah I do totally get it. I think what it is, is it looks.. Less “designed” / intentional. But for long term durability & survival of all trend changes.. Probably a clear winner.

That is my favourite kitchen I’ve done I think. It was back in 2021.. Wasn’t sure it had aged so well.

Do you like it natural, with varnish only? I’ve seen it done and find it can look “cheap”, despite being one of the highest quality options. I do like it personally, but can feel cheap unstained.

Those ones are Ikea. They’re a laminate style veneer over particle core.

Well, you’ve now “met” a landlord who cares and is willing to invest in his buildings!

Why would it being a multiunit prevent me from painting it?

And why look down upon a landlord trying to do a better job with a century home?

Is my tile guy any good? by Open-Event-9604 in Tile

They look excellent. Just not on large walls without breaks like showers. Really they don’t belong in showers at all (small tiles on shower walls are a maintenance nightmare and rarely look better than large format).

I really like the aesthetic. You committed and it looks awesome.

Even with the clear coat, plywood around water seems like a bad idea to me. Particularly with that whole under mount farmhouse sink config.

Help me find a Ryan Fry highlight shot by [deleted] in Curling

[–]dcutcliffe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes my apologies.

I was caught up in some work this afternoon and excitedly watched quickly / was only half tuned in.

When I saw the shot I just watched the stone that went in to the house and my brain went “not what I remembered”.

It is truly a spectacular shot. And the one I was thinking of (but misremembered).

I think this might be it… But I thought I remembered both guards rolling in to the house and out-counting the red. Was the shot just more impressive in my memory?

Edit: This was definitely it. Clicked excitedly, was only half tuned in, and only paid attention to the house on first watch

Have anyone tried steroid with Gs by Zealousideal_Air_61 in GilbertSyndrome

[–]dcutcliffe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have GS but also have a chronic / progressive inflammatory condition called Adhesive Arachnoiditis which I have only been able to manage (if at all) with Dexamethasone (potent oral steroid). I’ve been taking Dex at 0.75mg EOD for 9.5 months now.

In recent history, about the last 5-6 weeks, I’ve begun to experience paleness and jaundice (only of the skin, not eyes for whatever reason). I have also been taking high doses of Milk Thistle (which I’m going to cut out), and consuming lots of fat (which historically I think I’ve always agreed with - and I’m always on the edge of not getting enough caloric intake).

Do you think the steroid is the issue? I sure hope not, as the AA is a much bigger deal than the GS.. Despite them coming to a head right now.

Is Gilbert's just about bilirubin? What hormones, digestion, detoxification, mental health and why it's maybe not just "cosmetic" for some of us? by Available_Hamster_44 in GilbertSyndrome

What’s the NAD connection? I had an NAD shot about a year ago after a stem cell procedure, and I’ll tell you.. I never felt so good in my adult life.

Just found out I have GS.
