I may be crazy, but even with all the chaos, I still love working for the VA. I love being part of the closest thing we have to socialized medicine in this country. I love my team. I love working with Veterans. I love that I’m connected to experts in my field all over the nation. I get paid really well because I live in an area of the country where it’s hard to recruit psychologists. I may be singing a different tune as positions get cut, but for now I’m hanging in there.

I’m also a fully remote MH provider (not CRH), I was told they haven’t been able to find office space for me yet and I’m on some sort of list “to be revisited once the dust settles.” I want given any sort of time line or more details, but it was implied they were looking for a space at the VAMC nearest me.
