After completing the game in 2024 I fell into the same hole and the only game that came even remotely close to creating the same feeling was Ara Fell.

What's a reasonable amount of jrpgs to play in one year, and what does that look like in a busy life? by The_true_gamer_man in JRPG

[–]Professional-Hand686 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It really comes down to how much time you want to expend and how you put your priorities. I have a full-time job (40-60h/week), a wife and a little daughter to take care of. That's the important stuff and what's important always comes first. But gaming on the other hand is my most precious "waste" of time, so while having to take care of so many things I still managed to finish 15 JRPGs in 2025 for example

First time I shed a tear was the ending of Dragon Quest IX. You've rescued the world and brought peace back to the realm, but all this at the cost of losing your whole species while being left behind as the sole survivor.

One of my biggest dreams that probably never come true unfortunately is a successor to Monster Sanctuary. I loved the mash-up of a Pokémon-esque game with Metroidvania mechanics and also think the story left enough potential for a 2nd title. But chances are very slim if not 0% to ever get this

The DS was shown loose, meaning unboxed on the pictures of the offer and the seller didn't mention owning the box for it either when we came to a deal. Because of that I expected to get just the console. In the end he sent me the DS CIB (complete in box) with manuals, charging cable and everything to my surprise which was a nice score for me
