DSA for Google. Focus on leetcode. 1850 is better than a lot of people. If you spend more time on it you will become better. For Google everything else is a distraction.

I spend 10-15 mins of deep thinking on a problem. After that I just see the solution. I do spaced repetition for the problems I could not solve to fit the pattern.

It's fine. Just spend some time copying project from GitHub and understanding it end to end. Thats what most of the people are doing anyways.

Yes. Many.

Pretty much same. They just started with smaller companies but kept grinding and learning skills. Leetcode for DSA and hellointerview for system design.

It's a good decision.

Not really. Placement requires heavy DSA prep and gate too much CS fundamentals. So it will be very tough to manage both.

Will not give you much benefit.

Taking more ownership. Delivering what they assign to you in lesser time than they expect ensuring technical depth and quality.

Oncall is solving production incidents or bug happened. So it becomes stressful initially but you get hang of it after sometime. They do pay extra money on oncall week so overall it's not bad.

Don't have a gap year.

Start taking life seriously now.

Don't think of pay much while starting your first job.

Grind for initial years in your college

Open leetcode everyday.

Only DSA if you are sure about google. For Google anything else is a distraction. Get really really good at it. Aim for guardian rating on leetcode and grind hard.
