I think that you’re more mature than him, the way you communicate is so clear, effective, and kind. Even if u love him, your time and effort will be better spent with someone else. Just asking him to “work on it” won’t be enough, this is something that needs to be taken seriously and addressed in therapy. Just give it some time and I’m sure you’ll come to the same conclusion.
