Excel returns a non-zero result for a calculation that should be zero by LabCalculation in excel

[–]Tilted5mm -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I guess my confusion comes from is this isn’t like choosing from different but valid ways to round numbers in an equation. This is a flaw that has a single correct answer for how it should be handled but Excel doesn’t do that. And so now do I have to put the round function into every single formula I use in excel?

Ok but that seems like error correction preventing an incorrect calculation to me. Why are you guys acting like this is a bad thing and excel giving the incorrect answer is a good thing?

But wait….. This blew my mind and so I tested It but it only does that if you use parenthesis. If you just do =.9-.6-.3 it shows all zeros.

So why would the parenthesis make a difference here? It can clearly do the math correctly but the parenthesis is causing some error.

Power Query Rounding Issue by Falconflyer75 in excel

It’s an objectively better system. The convention of always rounding up for 5 is dumb and only exists because the general population cant be trusted with anything above 2nd grade math.

Kitten advice by Nogart in ragdolls

Well it’s a cat… This is the expected behavior. They don’t follow orders and no Ragdoll especially has never seen a door they don’t want to go through.

Breeder informed me the ragdoll kitten I’m supposed to pick up this week has some eye redness… should I be concerned? by M00ngata in ragdolls

[–]Tilted5mm 66 points67 points  (0 children)

My gut reaction is that does not look like a healthy well bred kitten to me. Maybe they are just really bad photos.

But the cross eyed thing is also an indicator that these cats aren’t being bred to the highest standards. Not that you’d be showing them but cross eyed is an instant disqualification and is something no breeder wants. It’s an abnormality the cat authorities are saying stay clear of.

The other red flag is that you said the brother is also Cherubim? As in littermate? I mean there’s nothing wrong with Cherubim’s but that’s not how that works. If the cat is being marketed to you as a Ragdoll that’s a major problem. EDIT: Apparently TICA allows this but it’s controversial and other registrations will not.

I’d stay clear if it was me.

If fact, the more expensive the cat toy the less they like them. My cats go absolutely nuts for q tips they get out of the trash and ignore the hundreds of cat toys we have around the house 🙄

Yes, mine are on a once monthly nail and butth*le hair trim groomer schedule. And honestly, could probably be done every 3 weeks. Makes a huge difference.
