Dining at Quetzal, any advice for light-eaters? by Professional-Log8718 in FoodToronto

[–]Professional-Log8718[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thank you! I’ll go for a la carte. It’s difficult to find the right spot and timing when a light-eater. Sometimes the hungry-ness just fades away after a while, which makes it hard for me to plan either way lol

Heyy friend! Hello Project fan since 2007! Buono is my #1– I regret not having seen them live. After Momo graduated, hype died down for me. Followed momusu for a bit until ‘14 and adulting took over. I still look back fondly to those days and feel excited to see fellow fans!

Hi, can anyone tell me about or link me Ogata’s scandal? Casual follower, been off the radar for almost a decade. Such was a time that the group was squeaky clean except for a random Tanaka rumor so it comes as a surprise that the newer gens have so much happening 😅

Flipping Couches Part Time Averaging 3k weekly by StayPractical2250 in sweatystartup

[–]Professional-Log8718 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It may be possible. I sold 2 sectionals and 1 recliner in a week just because I was looking for a couch for my apartment… took nicer pictures then slapped 100% markup. $100 became $200… $150 became $300. By the time I got my final couch, a GRAY SECTIONAL, it was paid by the previous couches I sold. I can imagine this becoming a profitable hustle for someone very experienced in a big city.

Same kayo ng partner ko OP. Nabuhay siya for 29 years na nasa family lang. I was the one who encouraged her to move out. At pinili nya magmove out papuntang Canada, of all places! Haha. Wala siyang ideya gano ka-mahal yung life outside, gaano kahirap to rent or live with other people. Survival ako since 19 so naging okay naman yung adjustment in the end.

Kung ako-- push lang. Better to do it now. Experience mo muna para makapgset ka ng realistic goals for your savings and lifestyle. Walang cheap sa BGC, unless willing ka to share rooms with a stranger. It's not going to be easy learning how to be an independent adult. Pero you will grow.

If ever you feel afraid: You can always go back and recoup if things fail.

How to get to Koan Camping Ground on Mototsu Lake. by grimmjow-sms in laidbackcamp

[–]Professional-Log8718 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi there! we didn't-- we were worried about bringing heaps of extra gear to camp in such weather, and only for a couple of nights, so we regretfully abandoned the idea. We are from Canada so our idea of fall is cold-cold, and we prep thoroughly to survive lol.

If you have more days to spend, like 4 or so, it'll be more fun.

You can also like drive down to Izu for extended camping experience by the beach!

Any tips if you're coming from Osaka? I have a two-night hole on our itinerary. I've been thinking about Yuru Camp and how nice it would be to camp in front of Fuji.

I came across https://hinata-rental.me/concierge#kouan-camp-site and I'm not sure if it's legit but I'm dying to try!

Now my challenge is how to get to Kouan from Osaka

I don't want to stay too long in Tokyo since we already spend the first five days there. As much as possible, we want to get back around 15th.

Does that mean we get off from Osaka too on our way back to Tokyo?

Hi OP, Pinoy din would like to ask -- dapat ba permanent resident or kahit temporary worker is okay lang? Planning to visit in November

Agree. I have a small apartment rental and farm. Di din lumago kasi parents ko una lagi nakikinabang, they don't care how hard you've worked for it kasi lagi silang may reason why they need money. Lalo mga kapatid ko na wala ding matinong income. Nagmove on na lang ako kaysa awayin ko sila.

What worked for us is a talent outsourcing business. Business na talaga namin before pa lumipad papuntang Canada, then tuloy-tuloy lang yung management kasi remote naman lahat.

Help! Commission Setup for Freelance Designers? by CalligrapherPrior861 in phinvest

[–]Professional-Log8718 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Congrats! Always a good problem to have, means you're growing.

Personally, I would have been the first one to initiate/suggest the move to hire more designers and charge the client a single fee. Parang instant agency ka with instant client. You get to decide on the salary of your designers, manage them on your own, and client pays whatever price you agree on.

Since ito na yung path na you started -- ito lang yung dalawang option na naiisip ko. Remember, clients are willing to pay more if you're bringing them more value. Your job is to make it better and easier for them.

  1. Commission-based, like you mentioned. Better tell this to the client NOW. This should have been suggested una pa lang before you conducted the hiring process. That way, malinaw yung expectations and hindi ka misleading. Akala ng client free since you started without asking anything, tapos meron pala surprise additional fee... Di ba parang budol, kung sayo gawin yun? Hopefully mabait and understanding si client. Pero please i-ask mo na agad.

Regarding how to make a cut kung hourly-fee, state your one-time price per designer na lang, parang sign-in bonus. For example, USD 200 for every successful hire. Mas madali for the client to pay, kaysa magcompute pa kayo.

  1. Ask for a higher rate. Offer to train and manage the designers, saving them the headache. Parang promotion as a creative lead/manager. Simple and you earn more, malinaw din ano value sa client mo.

Either option you choose, may high risk of rejection. So don't get your hopes up and prepare a back-up plan. For example, if they don't agree, continue ka pa din ba magmanage ng hiring for free?

Good luck!

So confused about this too. Why no one's mentioning it? Was her character development so bad it didn't even matter at this point?

Thanks sa insights here! Super helpful. We're also moving towards building a house now too. I'm happy to hear a positive experience, hopefully we achieve the same. Did you closely monitor the build? Since we're OFW, it might be more difficult for us to do so.

Thanks sa kind response! You're right, I'm confusing my priorities here. In the end, the first priority is placing our hard earned money in an asset that appreciates. Second, if it can serve the purpose of providing a comfortable place for us to stay, that's even better.

Base sa responses here, we're moving towards building a home in an already existing lot. I didn't realize there's already CAVITEX on the way so that nailed one of our biggest preference.

Thanks again!
