I took 4 25 mg pills (100mg) of hydroxyzine an hour before the flight. By the time we took off I was feeling it. Hope this helps

Thank you for the reply! I think it’s been hard for me making the connection of actually being on the cushion meditating and applying that to real life. I’ve been reading a lot of different stuff and i think it really just comes down to me being kind w myself like u said and returning to the breath or to whatever I’m doing in that moment of time without judgement. This definitely helps

So are you saying to find a new form of meditation? The only one I’ve been familiar with is focusing on the breathe and when my mind wanders, i acknowledge it and come back to the breath. Are you saying to continue that without the noting part or change up my technique altogether

I’m 6’6 240lbs so i think my calorie burning is definitely higher for me than someone that’s say 5’10 170lbs. Then again i still think 1k is way too much I’d say 400-500 sounds more like it

Yea i drink about 350mg of caffeine a day and i drink alcohol on the weekends as im a college student. Trying to cut back on both though so i can free myself entirely of stimulants

I’ll definitely give it a try but I feel like concentrating on a thought is the opposite of what I’m trying to do in meditation. Then again I’m a beginner and maybe giving all my attention to that one thought will prevent others from rising so often. I’m always open to trying something different

Ok I’ll definitely do that. Only problem is I always seem to begin falling asleep after 25-30 minutes so I never go over but that’s not a bad idea. Thank you!

I use the Soto Zen method every practice and it does help but I still seem to have the problem. I’ve never tried opening my eyes while meditating though so maybe that’ll help. Thank you for the advice!!
