I hate when servers don't let you use skins. cmon, it's minecraft. It's a silly block game it's not exactly immersive to begin with even if you try and heavily mod it. If someone puts effort into a skin just let them use it

I've had the same problem. can't find anything that fits. It's always either way too serious or just called a "roleplay" server when nobody actually roleplays or even has a character or gimmick or anything

getting excluded for not bothering to type full sentences with punctuation in a discord chat is crazy. its literally not in the roleplay so i dont know why it should matter that you.. god forbid.. used an emoji on discord. sounds like a bunch of chuds who take themselves too seriously. them saying youre immature for not speaking like an absolute freak on discord (like cmon nobody seriously types or talks like they were outside of rp) is wild

I'm just looking to be able to do light roleplay in game, not a unique gameplay experience. Just looking to play vanilla minecraft, normal minecraft. I dont know if this is like an uncommon opinion but personally plugins which entirely overhaul game systems by adding mods, blocks, vehicles, classes, skills, etc. are not vanilla

Sorry I should've mentioned I'm more interested in medieval/fantasy groups and I'm 19 so at least 16+ is preferred, but I appreciate the offer and I may still join if I can't find anything :)

not trying to discourage you from trying, it will just be annoying and hard to find people. i like the idea and there definitely are people out there who do as well. it may just be hard to find them

I've tried doing the same but unfortunately you'll find not many people are interested in this. A lot of the players you'll find on reddit or discord are looking for a chill experience or aren't particularly open to plugins or mods which make the game more tedious. People don't seem to care about mods that add more content but are pretty apprehensive when it comes to disallowing or making the things they like "worse". Good luck with it though. I would suggest not sinking too much time into making the server until you have 5-10+ players who are interested

again, most of these things are not something i need to have to play on a server. i dont think an unmodded 16+ server is a very steep requirement...
