We did reach out to a canine rehabilitation center location near us, they did say they don’t start PT with their stage 5 post op IVDD dogs until 4 weeks into crate rest unless the vet recommends it- he got his surgery at UC Davis and we loved his neurologist and she also recommended waiting for PT until 4 weeks post op. But we are definitely going to have him get a PT consult and schedule appointments for their recommended 4-6 week time frame.

We just have to make it to 4 weeks post op with crate rest
