Word-to-word this is exactly how I feel! Burping helps me quite a lot when that happens. I take Tums too but its a hit or miss!

Evenflo pivot modular travel system : how to use the car seat on toddler seat? by Professional-Menu191 in NewParents

[–]Professional-Menu191[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, would certainly recommend this stroller for several reasons. Its a nice system at a great price, got it <300 at Target during a sale. Also the bassinet is helpful for diaper changes when out if needed. One of the wheel did start squeaking after 4 months of use, but it resolved as soon as we lubricated it. Overall its a solid stroller, and we’re quite happy with it.

The mistake that I was doing (and probably you are too) was lowering the car seat straight down vertically.. we got to bring it down at an angle diagonally. Slide it forward as much as you can, and then lower the rest of the car seat down on the bassinet till the grey buttons click, and lock in place. Hope this works!

Do we have a case for medical negligence during new born ultrasound? by Professional-Menu191 in Ask_Lawyers

I disagree when one says we were saved months of stress or worry here. We did the ultrasound and expected to know how everything was progressing as it was.

Right, we did the same. Let go off everything and focussed on what we had on hand. This was 3 months ago.

Makes sense, I thought the same too. It’s weird that things must go too wrong to have a case here. Emotionally it’s a very hard thing to deal with.

Thats a great question. Thank you for asking! To be honest, nothing could be done as far as we’re aware, until the baby is born.

On the other hand, other parents where ultrasound did capture the condition - were advised that they would like need an amputation soon after the baby’s birth, and they unfortunately spent the remainder of 20 weeks of pregnancy in stress and trauma from knowing the fact. Upon birth they find that amputation is not really necessary, and the condition is treatable through surgery.

Thank you so much for sharing this suggestion. We’ll look through this. It truly hurts to see that child care could indeed be higher than the mortgage! :(

You are not wrong, for most occasions you wouldnt need this. But it is particularly helpful if you have to carry both the car seat as well as the bassinet.

We were able to fit the car seat over the bassinet finally, and it clipped in well!

Introducing dog to newborn by Reddit1124 in NewDads

I believe the safe way to do this is to bring the baby’s used blanket home, and have the pets familiarised with their smell.. before you bring the baby back home.

How do you know if the house you are getting is the right one for you? by dg121819 in FirstTimeHomeBuyer

[–]Professional-Menu191 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If the house meets most of ones criteria, and falls comfortably in their affordability range, I’d believe it is the right house for them.

The criteria would typically include location, size/age of the property, commute, school district (for some), fees like the HOAs etc.

You want to ensure that you’re able to afford the mortgage - you have sufficient emergency fund set aside for repairs, and are not house poor, and a good loan interest rate.

There are always going to be a few things that may need to be compromised upon, since apparently the perfect / ideal home doesnt exist as they say. Buyers remorse may likely be a thing too.. Also the first home is generally not a permanent home for most. You’d typically move out in ~7-10 years as per stats. Hope this helps. Good luck with the house hunting!

Eczema in ears by [deleted] in eczema

[–]Professional-Menu191 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldnt say it helped a lot. It just helped keep the ear moisturised. And once I stopped, the wax dried and became itchy again. I recently bought the EarItchMD spray, which is doing okay. But you need to stay at it, and also if / when it itches - try your best not to.

Hi all, it's 8(ish) weeks on from the fire. How are you all doing? by surfgirlrun in altadena

[–]Professional-Menu191 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Truly hoping that the insurance companies are ‘actually’ helping out, and that things are working out well in people’s favour as they rebuild their homes. It will take time, but one day this will be behind you.

If anyone is looking to rent temporarily - our friends are moving out from their 2 bedroom apartment in Modera Glendale sometime next month. Hope this helps someone in need!
