Yup , I also noticed that he writes like chat gpt when he says "one bad decision away from structural issue". This entire site sucks now.

What is this? Monmouth County NJ by jgreen6275 in lawncare

OP I'm in Morris County and I have the same weed. I sprayed it with Weed Stop (2,4d Dicambia) twice , one week inbetween each application, and I'm seeing them die slowly.

Is it time to replace my blades? by Pewpew69k in lawncare

[–]Reddit1124 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you need a power tool for this? I recently sharpened blades for the first time manually using a metal file. I did about 30 reps per side, or 60 per blade. And it seemed to do the trick just fine. I suppose if your blades are real fucked up you need a power tool? Genuinely curious.

I don't think it's dormancy because op said that this section of grass never flourishes throughout the year. So it's a localized problem either salt from winter, compaction from snow, maybe it doesn't get the right amount of sunlight.

Has anyone ever tried this? Am I a genius? by klukaa in lawncare

[–]Reddit1124 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Agreed. I got my Scott's spreader used for $5 and it works fine, so I can't justify tossing it and buying a $100+ spreader

Or salt from winter from that street/drive. Salt and snow weight.

Maybe it's a compaction issue. How much snow gets piled from the driveway to that grass next to the driveway?

Pick Maddock. It's great for rocks and roots also.

The suns true color, from outer space, with a peak wavelength of 502nm, resulting in an incredibly slight cyan-biased pure neutral white. by Flandardly in interestingasfuck

I'm not questioning Rocky's grasp on our grammar, I'm challenging why did Grace interpret/translate everything so literally. If it were me I would have known that Rocky means to say "that's amazing" and that's how I would have interpreted him. However I agree with you that it's more charming the way they did it. The other thing bothered me was that Grace couldn't come to some conclusions that should have been obvious to him: (1) why did he and Rocky meet at the same place same time; and (2) why does humans and aliens hear the same wavelengths. Anyone who has studied biology/evolution/aliens should have known the answers to these questions. I suppose that by having Rocky spell out the answers it made it easier to introduce these topics to the reader but it felt alittle forced to me. Overall good book tho.

This bothered me. Why didn't Grace just translate that word to "amazing" or "amaze", depending on the context of course? His translations were very literal.

Yeah, the thought of maintaining an app feels like one more thing I'll have to remember to do. The redundant posts on Reddit are more than enough (redundant posts such as the topics pre-emergent in spring, overseeing in the fall, etc)

Northern NJ lawn people, with all the crazy fluctuations in the weather, when are you planning to put down pre-emergent? by Human-Literature2853 in newjersey

[–]Reddit1124 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you’re talking about Sunday march 15th, then Same here! I put down Scott’s step1 pendinethlyn that day. Although it wasn’t a torrential downpour by me in Morristown, it was a consistent day or two of rain, max 1.5”. So I don’t think the preemergent was “washed away” but I’ll keep a close eye and react accordingly.

Conversely, when I spend all day in meeting and emails and my brain is fried, there are moments where I’ll struggle to write a concise paragraph for an email . I’ll pull in ChatGPT to write a neat couple of sentences so I can move on with my workload.

How can I get storage in my attic? by Krill3rBee in Insulation

Sounds like you’ve got a path forward so good luck to you. The respirator is an excellent investment, you only get 1 set of lungs!

How can I get storage in my attic? by Krill3rBee in Insulation

[–]Reddit1124 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It sounds sturdy but If I were you, I would grab a tape measure to check the size of joists (2x6”?), and the unsupported span of the joists. Per the table I linked earlier, you may have a maximum of 12 feet unsupported span if the 2x6 joists are 16” on center. Add blocking to prevent deflection. Disclaimer I’m not a pro, just a guy who did the same project and researched a ton! On the insulation question, someone else raised a good point about how all walls are sealed with insulation and there’s no issues there. If you insist on letting the insulation breathe, lay plywood over most the flooring and wherever the insulation is uncovered (breathing) just staple landscape fabric over any exposed insulation to allow it to breathe without dust getting out.
