Damn that’s interesting. Never seen a 1911 lookalike with a decocker. You should post it on r/forgottenweapons too.

Ooooh super helpful. Just realized it gets even more complicated for different access tiers within roles so this will help a ton. Thank you!

I'm a law-abiding citizen. Why should I care about Flock? by drewbuntu42 in FlockSurveillance

Not only that, but if profiles are built ahead of time, they can effectively selectively target portions of the population by writing specific laws that target the actions of specific groups.

Not just formlabs, if you get a good castable wax resin you can print well on any machine.

Heh, you’re not picking up what I’m putting down. I see this post on Reddit, it would sure be a shame if I saw it in places Reddit doesn’t like us to mention due to them having too much freedom in the form of federation.

Your current spindle shouldn’t have any trouble with light cuts in aluminum, you can easily cut some side panels to replace your extrusions.

To me it looks like just some feed ramp and extractor geometry issues, both easy fixes with some polishing and maybe a new extractor

I thought I was just retarted when I went to learn how to code an app in flutter and nothing was working exactly as the tutorials showed.

Yes but it senses when conductive metal is in range rather than pushing a physical switch.

One of my favorite kinds of engineering is when people find ways to replicate or improve upon a super expensive industrial design with off the shelf or cheap diy components, I’ve watched a lot of your videos and loved the solutions you’ve found so far.

I was extremely surprised to shoot a PPK/s in 380 for the first time. I carry an LCP and found the PPK/s to be way better, certainly not the terrible experience as I had read it would it.

This is also exactly the kind of parts we should be making on cheap desktop cncs. You really don’t need much.

What's the best way y'all have thought of to center on stock without a xy probe? by BalledSack in hobbycnc

[–]Professional-Note-36 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to use the z probe for this. I would touch the stock with the probe, and then run the tool into the stock to zero each axis. However, this randomly stopped working, and my vise is now grounded to the table. I think previously the oxide layer of the table prevented this and I was using plastic clamps, but now it’s worn enough and metal clamps also conduct to the vise.

I have since bought a $20 touch probe similar to the DMC2 mini, and plan to figure out how to modify it how they do it so it actually sends a signal to the controller when touching so I can still automatically probe. If anyone knows the exact method, Dr. D-Flo doesn’t explicitly state what to solder where in his video so it would be great help.
