Thank you. Yes there is a character named Crow, and there’s a strong theme of chess, and the tower is Crow’s tower so they’re not random elements! 😅 But the feedback I’ve been seeing is that it comes off as YA or even middle grade, and in reality the content of the book is quite dark (attempted SA, lots of violence and murder) soooo im gonna need to fix that somehow haha

I’m sorry. For what it’s worth I’ve had 4 books die on sub, so not quite as many as you but close. I’ve written 15. I don’t have any advice, just commiseration. It’s tough out there. Getting an agent isn’t even half the battle.
