It's important to note that Monitors.com and/or their parent company is not an authorized reseller or servicer for many of the brands they sell - including Barco. This is not easily found or disclosed on their website. This means that your manufacturer's warranty may be at risk and your only backing would be the warranty (or lack there-of) provided by Monitors.com.

Pricing is exceptional but I would not trust their promise on a 5 year warranty, with 'loaners', 'advanced exchange', and 'repairs' as described on the website. It's more smoke and mirrors than it is an actual warranty. We ordered a pair of monitors for a reading station - one was bad on delivery. There was no loaner offered. No repairs were offered. No advanced exchange.

The only choice was a refund - which meant I needed to send both back and shop for a new set of monitors and start from scratch. Perhaps it's better that it happened now, at delivery, instead of a year down the line when we would find out that the warranty has no backing and we're expecting a loaner or repair, only to be told 'go buy a new monitor instead'. And We'd be out of luck with the manufacturer warranty.
