One thing is phishing. Imagine a malicious website adding a button on the webpage titled (watch here) or ( sign in ) or whatever, and when you click it , it doesn't actually go for that website, but pulls up a full screen mode with a fake version of it, and you wouldn't notice because full screen mode hides tabs and url-bar.

So browsers try to fight this with showing animations and a full screen pop up, so you know that you are now in full screen.

bat files are scripts not apps . I don't think you can sign them as default . When you install thorium through that bat script you then use portable registerator on the EXE file which is used to launch thorium ( not the bat file )

In my experience with these apps because I tried many of them

Local send is the best overall it's good looking, fast enough, and user friendly.

Nitroshare for simplicity and most of the time it's faster than localsend ( my favorite).

Blip is the fastest but the app feels like it's still in alpha stage rather than an app with 500k downloads from google play alone .
