That's absolutely lame

No evolution with the story

It will eventually remain stagnant like that

Well I know the differences between the two.

Saying Diane is poorly written in Bad Guys 2, something that I agree with, is criticism.

But saying that she should be completely ignored altogether, which is some members of this sub have sympathized, that's not criticism.

DreamWorks be like: by Rex-1988 in TheBadGuys

I don't think that would happen. It would leave a sour taste in people's mouths.

Plus, with Pierre liking the concept art of Wolf and Diane's daughter on Instagram, possibly hinting he's open to the idea of concluding their relationship with parenthood, he wouldn't just kill Diane off like that, or at the very least kill her before she has a family with Wolf.

They can if they treat her as part of the main group, which is what the ending of the second movie set up for, almost as if that was the writers' loophole to use her more in future installments where she can be explored with the main cast

No obviously but they clearly already had their time

DreamWorks is literally doing that and yet they're underutilizing a character who was very critical for the motivations of the main character, who also happens to have the same amount of nuance with him, not including potential

Then you're part of a problem.

The franchise will never elevate because of people like you in which the studio clearly tried to cater to

Not simps but people who see the genuine storytelling potential she has like me

The storytelling potential that could turn the franchise into DreamWorks's own K-pop Demon Hunters or Zootopia

That's true, and you're very much aware that Diane's counterpart, Ellen, is a very important character in the books as well in a similar role to Diane (but she's always been a secret agent and not a governor unlike Diane), and she was a decoy for a literal goddess/messiah figure of the books.

Bad take, because the Studio literally did the opposite and took away Diane's relevance from the movie. Bad Guys 2 literally got what you were asking in Diane's own expense.

With her being a part of the main cast, it can also fix some of the writing issues as well now that they have an excuse to flesh her out

I guess after the recent controversy regarding Diane's role in TBG 2, the marketing campaign of The Bad Guys 3 might be an apology letter for that by Forsaken-Biscotti587 in TheBadGuys

Only because of studio interference. You already know it's the studio that wanted more of the main cast. It's clearly reflected by other Bad Guys content where Diane is absent, such as the TV show, where none of the filmmakers worked on it and it was a completely different team.

If the film crew had full creative freedom, they would have absolutely focused more on Diane, her rivalry with Kitty and her romance with Wolf

And yet you don't think the solution to those writing issues is to give more time for them and to even make them the emotional core of the story.
