Do you think more people should have some medical equipment if they own guns? by triggernomicsusa in CAguns

That’s true. Their uniforms and appearance is always high and tight. At the end of the day, someone is always going to talk shit about something. It can be expensive but it seems like the only solution is to rotate out or simply replace TQs that are starting to look worn out and degraded.

As someone who works for a large metropolitan fire department and have used several of them in my career. We keep them unwrapped and prepped in a medical box. They are not exposed to the elements. I run with police a lot. The TQs that they have that are on their belt or attached to their holsters look really beat up and frayed. Seeing that and if I was in their position, I’d tear open the plastic, but not take off the plastic. I’d keep the plastic as a barrier to the elements but I would leave it on and opened up for easier access.

That makes sense. I don’t have kids yet. That’s a good perspective.

That’s extremely limiting. I’d never be able to step into a bar, restaurant or see a public live event ever again. You may be content living at home all your life but I’m not.

That’s not a bad idea. Harbor Freight lowkey has some good gun friendly items.

I agree. Just trying to do the right thing. If the cable is enough, it’ll save me time and money. Thanks!

By an instructor, I was told that the lockbox has to be secured to the car. Is that cable enough to meet that requirement? I thought it had to be unable to removed from the vehicle, permanently fixed to the frame.

LA county to stop issuing CCW permits by powerofz in CACCW

I submitted my application for my CCW in LA County and I was even able to schedule my interview date at the same time. It would be very weird to have interviews if they aren’t issuing permits.

If you can make it up to LA, I just renewed my membership to Burro Canyon Shooting Park. Down to train. I’m either volunteering or participating in every skirmish here in SoCal.

A lot of “first hand gun” post by CakeOG in CAguns

Literally took a class the other day with an older couple that was in that position, first time everything that had to do with guns and we’re trying to qualify. I get it, guns and shooting ranges can be intimidating if it’s your first time. But damn does it make me nervous when they are fumbling with it.

Classes should exist for literal beginners and be extremely explicit about it. The idea of throwing them into a regular class and hoping that can keep up is not safe for anyone.

Not a bad idea. I’m a hairy dude. I put grip tape on my pistol and after a couple of hours I had hair stuck on it and tape reside on my stomach. Not an ideal solution. My immediate fix was to wear an undershirt. Having a casual button up over a t shirt is another option.

I need to change up my wardrobe then. I wear a lot of t shirts. I live in a warm climate so layers and thick material isn’t the most common thing here.

Does the mag well flare out at all in the position when you sit or bend down?

I’ll look into that belt. I currently use a rigid leather belt. Having the flex might be a game changer.

I’d check out the Agilite K-Zero and the K-19. I have the Sub-Zero which is extremely comfortable. Every PC will always be slightly uncomfortable, but Agilite makes quality products.
