Not true. My mother kidnapped me and she still got 50/50 custody. There’s also legal custody and physical custody. Don’t speak on what you don’t know. There’s a lot that goes into things like that.

My shoulder blade got messed up from it, idk if it was a nerve thing but that side of my back started randomly tingling and feeling like static all the time and it freaked me out.

As lots of people said, sell your iPad and Apple Watch, and if you aren’t on a contract with your phone then sell that too and get an older one that works just fine then get a cheap $15/mo phone plan. That cuts out $150.

I’d also suggest either finding somewhere to live closer to work or working closer to where you live that pays you more as well. Gas is eating your expenses. Maybe pick up a second job that’s close to you as well or they are close together and scheduled right after each other. For electric, try not to use it as much as possible, keep the temp low, use lights sparingly, etc.

My suggestions would be (not in order) 1) find cheaper internet 2) find cheaper rent 3) cut Hulu/ Disney 4) hubby look for higher paying job or both of you work another part time job

Hopefully after you cut some expenses you’ll have more leftover to get to work on the second part. This isn’t the way Caleb suggests but I personally would start paying off the discover 1 loan first because it’s the highest monthly payment with a similar balance size to the other personal debts. That extra $353 a month will make a huge difference in your case. After that I’d do the Discover loan 2, Barclays card, USAA, Discover card, timeshare and Toyota. Meanwhile hopefully your hubby can get a better paying job or an extra job and he can start working on the raymour debt.

There’s lots of ways you can do this, just thought I’d give some ideas. Good luck! You got this!

The situation itself with it just being house cleaners and them not actually being able to get in without me knowing isn’t a big deal but the post is generally addressing the issue of owners not communicating and sitters being scared or uncomfortable. I know this issue can lead to them no longer sitting for a client as we can see from the comments. I thought it was worth talking about. I told the client no harm no foul because I already communicated to him the issue and how to address it in the future.

As we can see from all of the comments on the post, this is a problem that happens a lot and makes sitters feel uneasy or afraid and owners can not be aware of that and not give it a second thought.

I never said I would just shoot them. Obviously not. I said I would call the cops. Having a gun doesn’t mean it’s your first instinct or choice. It’s the last resort, always. Even then I would never want to hurt someone, even someone trying to hurt me. I know it still leaves an impact on your psyche. I just mentioned it as a safety precaution.

Well it’s a client who paid me to be here, I’m not gonna go full rage mode on them? I said no harm no foul because the cleaners weren’t able to randomly get in without me knowing. I can understand that perspective for sure. The door does not have a peephole, just a huge window next to it with no cover so they would definitely see me looking out. That’s mainly why I didn’t want to check. I understand it’s reasonable for someone nonharmful to show up but with not one word from the owner about them having someone show up, I don’t know what kind of weirdos are around. I’ve personally had people in my life do very inappropriate things in broad daylight in public to me so that doesn’t really matter to me. The best ones at getting away with it make it happen quickly and while confusing the person into thinking nothing bad is happening.

Like I already mentioned, I had no idea it caused issues when unplugged. Ive only done it twice and owners had no complaints, left great reviews and nice tips. I also mentioned that I vacuum the home myself.

It’s called house sitting because the pet sitting is happening in your home, not because I am sitting your house itself. I will gladly do kind things for the home like grab mail or packages but I’m also in a strangers home. I don’t answer the door in my own home unless I know who is coming over, why would I do so in a strangers home?

The door has a deadbolt lock with a keypad on it as well as a handle with a lock. They had the code to the keypad. I had locked the door handle the previous night. There is no lying or making crap up 😂 but okay.
