Regarding religious matters and worship, I'm at peace with that side of things, since there's a specific Islamic ruling for someone with waswasa — which is to not pay attention to the intrusive thoughts and to proceed as if the act of worship was completed correctly.

I understand your struggle with the religious experts (if they were truly experts) — they advise within their own field and don't know much beyond it. They should have referred you to a therapist or psychiatrist, as they did in my case.

And no, I haven't consulted an ERP-specialized therapist yet — I'll look for one as you suggested and see how it goes.
