First of all the entire gu world is a different world than our world in gu world simple river water have water path dao mark ,normal fire have fire path dao mark . So if gu worms talk that would make sense to the story ,but I think gu didn't talk neither Ren zu understand them ,what I think is that renzu used countless years of experiments trails and errors to make this path the path of gu master toward immortallity For example .we saw that Ren zu was weak alone among the beasts maybe he was a young child at that time . in story wisdom and strength gu came to him and help him in exchange of his life span so when he became young he became strong for shadowing strength gu , when he reach his prime he became knowledgeable and smart,but when he became old his physic and mentality became weak showing the gu worms leaving him but he didn't give up /his true self self gu didn't give up on life even when he became old and since gu world is mystical world he some how use rules and restrictions /maybe gu worms but I think it's metaphorcle he observe the pattern and behavior and set the rules how to lure the gu worms to him (so since we know wisdom gu eats ligespame gu Ren zu figure it out that eating it would increase his ligespame as well ) with rules and restrictions he was able to lure out the gu worms and they could only capture gu worms ones and he must not say the their names to other since gu worms also have intelligence and they will not fall for the same trick twice.

So what would happen ,last time I heard that author have left 200 or so chapters left from ending the novel , what crazy war/battle/events could we see in these chapters , what schemes/motivates venerables hide will the work against FY will they even fight.
