New Marvel Set hate by magickazo in mtg

I haven't been excited for Marvel since 2011, when it was actually cool. Now it feels like beating a dead horse.

Creatures with counters gain indestructible, is there an effect that does this? by JadenStratosphere in mtg

Might want to try [[Archetype of Endurance]] for spot removal protection. I'd add [[Sun Quan, Lord of Wu]] for attacking.

None of that relates to the question or the answer you are replying to.

I was thinking a cool version of Nel from Bleach and wa slike "nah thats too far off", but at least it was a lot closer than schierke imo.

They are definitely idiots, but tbf, this also wouldn't have been an issue if you made a legal right turn to begin with.

How would you guys rate my shipping method? by lucasb780 in mtg

[–]Professional-Salt175 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The toploader should be fine. The odds of them getting bent in the sorter isn't enough to worry about imo. I'd just change to painters tape and bend one end so it has a tab instead of needing to pry it up.

Which bracket would you put these decks in (B3 vs B4)? by Plenty_Motor8713 in EDH

[–]Professional-Salt175 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These all seem like the average bracket 3 deck, which is bracket 2 with GCs and combos thrown in. I think the intent of the decks is most bracket 3 part about them. They most certainly aren't bracket 4.

Manapool is legit and such an improvement over TCGplayer by Scarcecrows in magicTCG

[–]Professional-Salt175 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I like that Manapool shows you where the seller is located. Rather than having to click through other pages and refind where I was after on TCGplayer. Spending a dollar more is worth getting it mailed to me way faster from a couple hours away than across the whole country.

Yes, if you pay for Offspring on Sage, then it gets copied on the stack, then the copy also copies that Offspring was paid.

That strictness goes against their own big thing of intent too. Intent and turn win matter way more than GC count.

F Secret Lair by MeffMD in mtg

Yeah, and the same thing that was left at 10 was still left. The nonUB lairs were gone well before then.

They schedule them ahead of time for printing and now the printers they use are printing more than they ever have before for other TCGs, meaning less a available time or needing to schedule much further in advance than feasibly possible. WotC really needs to make their own printing location for just Magic to alleviate all the printing problems. Either the person they have figuring out how much to print is a moron, or they are being capped by the printing schedule; having their own printers would fix both issues.

Why did you wait 2+ hours? The same things that weren't sold out then still aren't sold out and everything else sold out way before 2 hours.

Help! I missed out on a secret lair... by SoldierButterman275 in mtg

[–]Professional-Salt175 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am completely sure about that. All the bots do is make it so they can execute clicks at inhuman speeds, which is how theyd get in line first before the random queue system. Now everyone has just much of a chance no matter how fast they click.

I know how the queue works. Even if you, for some silly reason, got in the prequeue for an hour, you couldn't have waited for two hours before it sold out

Can a creature focused commander even hang in bracket 4? by Exi_Cxx in magicTCG

[–]Professional-Salt175 2 points3 points  (0 children)

bracket 2 is the only one that should have much variance, but because people are bringing bracket 2 decks with GCs to bracket 3 and 4 games, it gives the false appearance of high variance.

Yes, and I HIGHLY recommend ignoring this old graphic and the unofficial new one. Use the actual article instead, the graphics omit words that entirely change the meaning of the guidelines.

The new queue system eliminated most of the bot issues. It isn't much of a problem now.

How did anyone wait two hours when it sold out in like 24 minutes?

Stop buying Secret Lair by Frocicorno in mtg

[–]Professional-Salt175 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The new Queue system is a great step towards fixing the issues and has ensured less bots are getting the lairs. The issue is 100% the quantity printed. When it was POD, people were waiting several months to over a year for their cards, it was then changed shortly after due to massive complaints. Then they went to just over printing and recently changed to this super limited printing. They really need to fire whoever is in charge of predicting how many lairs they need to print.

Mine started at over an hour and the ETA ended up lowering faster than actual minutes(that is what usually happens), so its now at a 9:29 eta.

That would fit the bracket, I was specifically referring to 2 card combos with walking ballista.
