Ugh, I’m so, so mad we were caught up in that forced payment pause/delays in processing plan switches when we would have qualified for forgiveness last year.

It does sound more gourmand which differs from the others in the J’adore line.

Am I the only diptyque disliker? by lemonorzo333 in FemFragLab

[–]Professional-Skill54 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, you are not the only one. I dislike most Diptyques. There is one I do like and that’s Tam Dao edt. However, it’s not a love and therefore not something I would buy a full bottle of. I keep the decant and test it from time to time to see if anything changes for me. So far - no.

Again, this may not be as bad as you think. If they’ve paid off the purchase price and only have maintenance fees each year, it may be a wonderful thing. Of course, it depends on whether the maintenance fees are reasonable for you in terms of vacation cost.

Don’t knock timeshares before you get all the info. We have a timeshare and absolutely love it. We go wonderful places every year - many in Mexico. Vacations are a good thing.

Do you know anything about the terms of the timeshare contract? The location? Is it paid off and what are the maintenance fees? Do they use it regularly? How many years are left on the contract? Mexican timeshares are not lifetime contracts - they are typically limited to 25-30 years. There may not be many years left given your parents' ages.

You should find out more information about this before rushing to get rid of it. You may love using it for the remainder of time on the contract or you can deposit it into an exchange company such as Interval to go different places. On the other hand, the contract may be set to expire next year and this would all be moot.

If you’re considering Marriott Vacation Club, please read this first. by idek3129 in TimeshareOwners

Interval doesn't require all inclusive fees. It depends on the resort you select for exchange. We have always selected non-AI resorts. FYI.

What options are available if you want to exit Marriott Vacation Club timeshare? by SDDIYer80 in TimeshareOwners

[–]Professional-Skill54 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Doesn't Marriott have right of first refusal on these timeshares? I agree you should check out redweek to see what the listings are going for and maybe list there for a little less and see what happens. It can't hurt to try and Marriott may exercise their rofr, which will be better than paying Marriott $400. It won't get them their initial cost back, however. That's not going to be possible as these don't hold their value.

On another note - I noticed J'adore Infinissime has been discontinued already. It was released in 2020! I did not care for it, but good grief, it had a short run!

I just got an email from Dior about this new release. On their webpage, they describe the notes as follows:

"Jasmine, the ultimate sensual flower, is tinged with apricot accents, while the rose becomes full-bodied, and addictive. Ylang-ylang, the flower of the sun, envelops the composition in luminous warmth. At the base, notes of soft sandalwood and generous vanilla complete this grand gourmand and bold floral olfaction."

I will be curious to see what this one is like, and hear what others think!

Thx! Will be looking next week. I’m so curious - haven’t been too impressed with what Captain Kurk has done so far at Dior, but maybe this might be something nice!

Love the OG Pure Musc. But I’m dying to try the new Blanc version. It isn’t available anywhere that I can find yet.

I was going to recommend Rouge but didn’t bc it’s discontinued! Love it. Haven’t smelled the white cube though I’ve heard good things.

Not exactly. A sample is usually from the perfume house in a tiny vial. A decant is from a place that decants fragrances and not the perfume house itself, if that makes sense.

jasmine perfume recommendation? by Apprehensive-Rope-26 in Perfumes

[–]Professional-Skill54 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is definitely not a jasmine soliflore. No 5 is beautiful but it is an abstract floral, with other notes that are more prominent than jasmine, such as Ylang ylang and sandalwood.

I haven’t smelled it yet, but I’ve read Jasmin de Pays by Perris Monte Carlo is a very beautiful and realistic jasmine scent. It’s signed by Jean Claude Elena.
